My falling out with Ralph has been stuck on my mind since it happened. I'm not used to being at odds with my brothers so I had to put on my big girl panties and go apologize.

Pulling up at his apartment complex, I sat there trying to build up the strength to even mutter those two words. I'm not quick to say I'm sorry to anyone but he deserves it. Doesn't make it easy though.

Taking a deep breath, I finally climbed out my car and headed inside. For my brother to make so much money and always be dropped in designer and diamond's he sure did take the cheap route for where lays his head. Anthony and Marco live in basically palaces, he should've followed in their footsteps.

Knocking on his door, I waited for him to answer.

It took a while before the door opened and Ralph wasn't who answered. Porsha stood there, looking as if she just had woken up. My blood was immediately boiling.

When she noticed me, a shocked look fell over her face. "Tiara...hi."

"Where's Ralph?"

"He uh, he had to make a quick run— he should be back soon. Come in." She stepped back and I walked in.

"You live here or something?" I sized her up. She stood there in one of his t-shirts and some shorts.

"No, I have my own place but seeing someone get shot in the head and chest on my couch makes it uneasy being there. I'm trying to sell it."

"What do you do for a living?"

"I'm a social worker."

"And how old are you?"

"Twenty-six."

"Hm." Walking over to the couch, I sat down. I glanced around Ralph's apartment. Even though it isn't in the best neighborhood, he had it really nice in here. "So you really didn't know that Avery was with me?"

"No, I didn't. He convinced me that you were this horrible person that abandoned your kids. He made himself into a victim and I was just foolish enough to believe it."

"When he didn't answer your calls at night, or you didn't see him for days, what did you think was happening? Where did you think he was?"

"If we didn't talk on the phone at night, he would text me. He didn't miss a day. If I didn't see him, I just assumed he was busy with the kids or something."

Hearing that, made me feel some type of way. He made an effort with her but with me just abuse, even after everything. I don't want to be bitter but dammit I am! Rolling my eyes, I looked up at her. "You think you the shit huh? Probably bragging to yo friends about how you took my man."

"Wha— no! No. I told you I'm not that type of girl. I'm ashamed that I was even caught up in his mess. I watched my mom be cheated on and abused my father. I swear if I would've known that you two were together, Avery wouldn't have been anywhere near me."
