one year later - HOU, TX
"Aye baby!" Marco yelled as he scrolled through some of the things Drea got done for their wedding. They were four months away from tying the knot and the both of them were so excited. Life has been like a breath of fresh air lately, just like Marco wanted.
Once he was healed, the first thing they did was take a month long vacation. Every week it was a new location. They got to relax and enjoy special moments between them and their daughter. When they got back to Houston, they decided to sell their house. Marco realized that he didn't really want to leave, that he was only running like Drea said.
So, they bought a newly built home that was twice the size of what they previously had. Marco even got rid of all their cars and bought all new ones.
With him focusing more on the legal side of things, he decided to move his tattoo shop and open another location. Drea had really taken off with her revamp and sell thing and was now contemplating becoming a real estate mogul. She knew how much money she could make if she bought and sold more than just houses and luckily she and her fiancé had the money to fund whatever she wanted.
"Yeah." Drea responded after slipping on Maddison's pajamas. Their little girl was nearing three years old. They hadn't discussed more children. Even though they both wanted more, if it was in the cards for them. But they'd be content with just Maddison and Jax.
"Tell me why this nigga on my guest list?"
Drea's eyebrows furrowed. "What nigga?" She and Maddison sat next to him.
"Lou."
Looking at him, as if he had two heads, her eyes squinted. "What?!"
"I never told you that he was invited."
"Please tell me you're joking. You have to be joking."
"I'm serious as fuck. I don't respect that nigga and the last place he about to be is at my wedding. I need you to call him and tell him he's uninvited."
"I'm not doing that, you're being dramatic."
"I don't think so."
"What beef you got with Lou? And I hope it's still not that shit with Kyle from over a year ago."
"That nigga sat in my face for twenty years and lied about where Kyle was. I was losing my mind at one point trying to make sure my brother was even still alive. He watched me and never said nothing because he didn't want Kyle to sell drugs. When me and Anthony walked out of that nursing home, he ain't even try to fix shit. I don't want him at my wedding, end of story."
Exhaling, Drea rolled her eyes. "You guys should talk. Every single last one of you. At one point in time, Lou was a hero to you. You were ready to kill me over him, remember."
Marco smirked. "Yeah, but it's still fuck him."
"Well you're just going to be upset because I have no problems with your dad. We actually talk quite often so he'll be there."
"I bet you he won't. Try me."
"Marco."
"Drea, what he did was fucked up."
