DREA-
Looking up at the tattoo shop in front of me, I exhaled. Another day, another target. I told myself that I would take a break after the last one but knowing how Trevor is, I should've known it would be impossible.
"So this nigga a tattoo artist? Tre got you hunting down a tattoo artist?" Desi asked. She was free today so I brought her along for the ride.
"He's a drug dealer, I guess this is one of his side hustles. This is perfect though because I've been wanting a new tattoo. Let's go." Grabbing my purse and keys, I climbed out the car and Desi followed. As soon as we opened the door, a bell went off. Two guys sat the front, covered in tattoos but a girl walked from the back with a smile on her face.
"Welcome to Indigo Ink, how can I help you?"
"Hey, do you guys do walk-ins? I wanted to get matching tattoos with my best friend." Desi said as I looked around.
"Yeah, we do. What are you looking to get?"
"Something small and cute, maybe a butterfly behind the ear."
"Okay, let me go look some stuff up for you."
"I'm sorry, I didn't get your name?"
"It's Mia."
"Thanks Mia." Desi walked over to me. "I doubt that nigga gone step foot in here."
"What makes you think that?" I questioned. Desi and I had two different styles. She liked to do everything quick and fast while I enjoyed the hunt. It was surely a lioness looking for her prey. It made the kill more dramatic when it finally happened.
"This looks like a place to clean his dirty money. Because he's covered in tattoos we automatically assume he's in here doing them?"
"You never know."
"Ladies, I got some sketches for yall." Mia called out.
"And I never told yo ass I wanted a butterfly." I whispered as we walked back over to the front desk.
"I think this one would be really cute for you both." She pointed to the third piece of paper on the counter. I hated that I like it because, I have more than enough butterflies on me.
"What you think?" I asked Desi and she nodded. "Alright, let's do that."
"Cool—." Before she could finish, the front door opened. "Wassup bossman."
"Sup." That voice made me look over my shoulder. It was him. His focus was straight ahead, then he looked over and the way his eyes locked with mine sent another chill down my spine. He kept walking but never stopped staring until he got past us. I watched until he got to the back walking inside an office and slammed the door shut.
