Sitting beside his mother's hospital bed, Marco just stared at her heart monitor. The bullet had just missed her heart but still did some damage, so she was put in an induced coma so that her body could rest and heal. The doctors said if it wasn't for Drea applying pressure, things would've been worse than they are.
For that he was grateful, but still he felt a way.
Marco was angry.
First his dad and now his mom was in the same predicament. There's been a dark cloud over his life and every terrible event had the same person behind it.
Speaking of Drea, she walked through Trisha's hospital door carrying Maddison. It's been two days and they've haven't seen or spoken to each other. Everything went from feeling they were floating on a cloud to living in a nightmare. Sitting on the couch across the room Drea stared at Trisha. The person that was normally full of life, was lying here barely hanging on.
"My daughter shouldn't be outside right now with all this bullshit going on." Marco finally spoke up.
Drea looked at him. "I just thought you would've wanted to see her. You haven't been home in two days."
Marco looked at his baby girl and his face lit up a bit. Getting up Drea took her over to him. "Come here Maddi, hey daddy baby." He pulled her out of her mom's arms and quickly cuddled her, kissing her forehead.
"We need to talk."
"Not right now."
"Yes right now. We gotta get shit figured out. I need to know how the hell Vincent found out about my brother's engagement party. It wasn't posted anywhere and we made sure your sister didn't send it."
His eyes squinted as he looked up at Drea. "You really think my sister would do some foul shit like that?"
"But you blaming me though."
Exhaling, he leaned his head back on the chair. "Drea, I promise you this ain't the shit you wanna do with me right now."
The room door opened, Anthony and Apryl walked in. "Wassup yall. Oh shoot, it's Unc little bug. Wassup Maddi." Anthony said, taking his niece from his brother.
Marco never addressed the new people in the room, just got up from his seat then went and grabbed Drea's hand pulling her out the door. He just drug her along all the way to the parking lot over to his car. Turning her around, he pushed her body into the passenger side door. "Everything around me has been falling apart ever since you came into my life. Even before I fucking knew you. First you shot my dad and now my mama is fighting for her life!" He yelled in her face.
"For some reason you're never going to get it through your thick ass skull that I was only doing my job. And don't forget, my brother approached you about coming after me. AND YOU AGREED TO IT!" Drea pushed him. "Instead of coming after me you could've went after the person that was responsible, the person who paid for your dad to be killed. You walked into this trap, my brother wanted you dead because you missed your fucking mark. Since I'm so terrible, finish the fucking job Marco, let's make your life easier." She started trying to open his car door. "Come on, unlock the car I know you got a gun in here. I'm giving you a fair shot."
"Don't tempt me."
"Don't be a pussy now. Do what you gotta do. KILL ME MARCO!"
His hand wrapped around her throat, and he pushed her back into the car. His fingers pressed harshly into her airways. "You thought I was playing? Hm?" Marco stared deeply into Drea's eyes that were turning dark red. "Everything about you is terrible. I don't know how the fuck I convinced myself otherwise. I should've took my gun and made you swallow it the minute I got you in my shop. I don't give a fuck who paid you to shoot my dad, bitch you still did it, right?" His grip got tighter and badly as he wanted to just snap her neck, he couldn't. Letting her go, Drea bent over, fighting to catch her breath. Her head was pounding and her heart was racing, trying to get the blood back flowing.
