〽️

The day was finally here. The day when Drea becomes Andrea Alexander. It felt like she was dreaming. Getting married and having kids was something she'd always wanted but never thought she'd have. Being able to experience this with someone who loved her more than anything in this world made this moment ten times better.

Standing in the holding room of their venue, she looked at herself in the mirror that stood there. Her dress was tighter than ever due to the weight she'd gained from her pregnancy but she still felt beautiful. Only she and Marco knew about the baby and Drea knew that her soon-to-be husband wanted so badly to run and tell everyone. Even though she was out of her first trimester, she still wanted to be cautious.

Across the way, Marco stood behind the curtain making sure his Prada tuxedo didn't have a wrinkle. He'd never had many events where he was the certain of attention and all of those eyes being on him made him sick to his stomach but for his lady, he'd push through.

"You look nice."

The sound of Lou behind him made Marco turn around. Their strained relationship hadn't gotten any better and Marco was slowly but surely becoming okay with that. "Thanks." Marco sent him a small smile then went back to tugging at his tuxedo jacket.

"You pull that jacket any harder, it's going to rip." Lou joked, trying to lighten the mood but it was pointless.

"Shouldn't you be in your seat?"

"Wanted to talk to you first, see how you feeling."

"I feel amazing, you can go now." Marco didn't need his energy thrown off and that's exactly what was happening.

"Marc, I wanna apologize."

"We already did that at the tailor. I'm letting bygones be bygones ain't no need to rehash anything."

"I'm not okay with the way things are, can we talk please?"

"Now? When I'm two minutes from walking down the aisle? This really can't wait?"

"I'll be quick. I was wrong for everything I said, everything that I did. I want you to know that I've never felt like your brother was better than you and your other siblings. But I fault myself for the lifestyles that you, Ant and Ralph live. If I would've pushed you in different directions you wouldn't be fighting for your life every few months. If I could go back in time, everything would've been done differently. I know everything between us has changed but I'd love for us to work towards getting back to what we used to be. I miss you, Drea and Maddi-cake. I'm sorry Marco."

"Maddi-cake?"

"Yeah, that's my pumpkin. My only granddaughter."

Marco smiled. "We'll talk more later. I appreciate you apologizing."

"I love you son."

"I love you too dad. I would hug you but this tux was four thousand dollars."

"Drea made you bougie."

"Been this way, she just brought it out of me more. I love it."

"He's always been a bad bitch dad." Anthony said while approaching them. Marco laughed while flipping him off. "You ready bro?"

"I am."

"Congratulations my boy."

"Thank you."

They did their handshake then Marco turned back to the curtains while taking a deep breath. "I'm ready."

〽️

"Mrs. Marco Alexander." Marco smiled while pulling Drea more into his arms. "You're stuck with me for the rest of your life."
