3: Before They All Starve

a/n: i've just finished looking over every chapter in the book and ill say i like it a lot, but it feels a bit rushed. there are some characters that never do anything because i cut all their parts😭

anyways i cooked on the final battle it's so stupid it's good. also i absolutely ate on the final chapter. i broke the final chapter up into a bunch of mini chapters, and the one titled "Saying Goodbye" made me cry while writing it.

also since my school has started i only have time to write at night since im at school in the morning and afternoon, doing homework or at the gym in the evening, and am in bed at night. anyways, the new book im currently writing is so fuckin horny it's wild. do not write books at night yall.

iroha had spent an hour in some stupid intro-to-something-ology class, and it was finally over. however, her professor said something surprising.

"before you all leave, i would like to request that you all wait to be escorted back to your dorm rooms. if you are in Hybe Hall, please come with me, and i will escort you back."

"why?" that voice was so familiar. iroha looked over to where it came from. it was wonhee! she was in this class?

"it's... miss wonhee, right?" the professor confirmed. "there have been three kidnappings on campus. we want to make sure our students are safe. now, all students who live in hybe hall, please follow me. there are some security guards and police officers outside."

wonhee nodded. iroha walked up to wonhee, and wonhee's eyes lit up upon seeing her.

"hey! i didn't know you were in this class!" wonhee laughed.

"i didn't either!" iroha said with a bright smile.

"once again, all residents of hybe hall, come with me!"

"well, we should probably go with them before we get yelled at. cmon roha!" wonhee said.

roha. it was a common nickname for iroha, but it sounded special coming from wonhee's lips.

the two girls went up to their professor, hand in hand. a few other students lived in their hall as well, so every student walked outside, to see a police officer, and two on campus security officers.

they all started walking back to hybe hall without a hitch. iroha and wonhee were surrounded by security and other students.

then, suddenly, iroha heard a small clink sound. it was a tiny sphere, no bigger than a marble. then, it exploded in a flash of light.

it was so blindingly bright. wonhee groaned and let go of irohas hand to cover her eyes.

she rubbed her eyes a bit, trying to get that bright flash blindness.

"that was rough, huh, roha?" wonhee waited for an answer, but it didn't come.

"roha?" she opened her eyes again, looking around.

"IROHA!"

every student on campus was heavily encouraged to stay in their rooms. professors even offered to teach classes online.

iroha's kidnapping in broad daylight was the last straw. each time, this kidnapper, whoever they were, got more and more bold.

they started with a drunk girl at a party full of other drunk people.

then at an empty cafe.

then a student who had been accompanied by multiple faculty.

then a student who had been sandwiched in between other students, faculty, and security officers, in the middle of the campus, during broad daylight.
