minji struggled for days and days to think of a design for her new suit. back before her spider-shock days, she kept a sketchbook of all the different suits and designs and color palettes she could have.

but now, suddenly none of them felt right.

she couldn't use the suits that she made when she was with hanni. they were all tainted.

so, here she was. four days after her little encounter with hanni. four days after she realized that she had been a complete and total asshole to her girlfriend, her friends, and in the process, destroyed her entire life.

two years ago, she felt similar to this. her dad died, she lost her job, her best friend was arrested because she tried to kill another one of her friends. all in all, she was a mess, but none of it was her fault.

this time, it was. and it was a whole different kind of hurt.

a few hours later, she finished the last stitches in her suit. she slipped into it, and looked at herself in the mirror.

my god, was it gross.

there's no way she was wearing this in front of other people! it was too form-fitting, and the built in shoes stabbed her feet. the amount of pink that she used on the suit blinded her.

she thought about her options. maybe she could start fresh?

stressed out, she looked outside her window. the sight of the air seemed to freeze her already. she would need a sweater next time she went out.

"OH!" she suddenly shouted.

she cut off the built in boots, and color matched the materials. it might've been stupid, but it hadn't really been done before, so who knew?

to set this suit apart from her last, she was gonna add a sweater to her suit.

"13... 14... 15!!" hanni dropped her dumbbells. the big "40" in white, bold letters stared back at her.

in the four days, she had been dedicated to one thing, and one thing only. proving to minji and herself that the suit didn't make her.

due to her time as spinneret, she was already decently toned. but now, she was eating clean, having an insane amount of protein, and working out like her life depended on it.

she started her days bright and early before classes, and she would head to her school gym. there, she would start by running ten miles in an hour as a warm up, then hit one part of her body like her life depended on it. today was arms.

just as her arms felt like they were going to give out, she decided to go to class. when she got there, the lights were off.

"professor choi must've cancelled today..." she said to herself, walking out.

so that's how she ended up here. on the roof of her dorm building, meditating. here, she would improve another part of herself.

her hearing, smelling, and sight. she would listen to everything in her building, and with any luck, she would be able to her and differentiate every single sound.

she closed her eyes.

"cmon hanni. you got it. silence your thoughts. silence your breathing." hanni said to herself.

a feeling of serenity washed over her as she focused.

"dude! if we fail this econ test, for the rest of our lives we won't... we're not gonna be able to... bro do you even know what econ is?!"

"no idea. fuck. we're screwed."

hanni gasped. people inside her dorm were having that conversation! and she heard it!
