21: You May Kiss The Bride

5 months after the final battle.

a few months later, yujin got enough credits to graduate. she was a music major, and hoped to become a producer. but her inner child wanted to be a singer.

wonyoung would become a fourth year, and the five original spiders would become 2nd years.

all at ESU.

hyein wanted nothing more than to go there.

so, she patiently awaited for her acceptance letter, until one day, she finally got it.

she walked down to her local cafe. it was empty, save for one person, who was working there, who seemed bored out of their mind.

leeseo!

hyein held up her letter from ESU nervously, as leeseo pulled her letter out of her pants.

"did you seriously stuff your acceptance letter in your pants?" hyein asked.

"the- the uniforms here don't have pockets. don't judge me sweetie." leeseo said.

the girls ripped open their letters, reading them quickly.

"i got in!" hyein yelled.

leeseo, reading much slower, held one finger up, as if to quiet hyein down. then, after a few more seconds, "me too!"

the two girls screamed and leeseo jumped over the counter to hug hyein. the hug burned leeseo, but the pain was worth it.

after smiling at each other for a bit, hyein asked an amazing question.

"why the hell were we so nervous about this? ESU has like, a 90% acceptance rate. this isn't a very good school."

"at least we get to see our friends though."

"ah, they're all boring. haerins doing business, hanni is taking chemistry, minji is doing psychology, and i somehow have no idea what wonyoung and danielle are doing." hyein said.

"yeah, all of them are all old and boring. we're not gonna be like them, right?"

"we 100% are. it's inevitable. in college you either become a party animal, or a shell of a real person."

then, at the end of summer, 7 of the 8 survivors went to ESU. yujin visited often.

"draw two. BITCH!" leeseo taunted.

"no, i won't, fuckface. draw two." hyein put another draw two on top of it.

"yeah, i'm not taking that. sorry darling." yujin said, putting a +2 card on top.

wonyoung put another draw two, and minji put another. then hanni, then haerin, and finally, danielle put a draw four card.

"nuh uh!" leeseo said. "you can't put a draw four on a draw two!"

"you can!" danielle said.

"no you can't, i swear!" leeseo got out the instruction manual to uno.

"do you guys smell that?" hyein asked. "it smells like... there's a little bitch playing with us."

"oh fucking fine, sweetie. you suck balls, hyein." leeseo cursed.

"dude, i'm gay."

"you are?"

leeseo's voice had no poison. no malice.

hyein must be going crazy because she heard a little bit of... happiness?
