6: Roxxon Spider Suppression

a/n: hey everyone! i wanted to say something about this book that ive kept to myself for a while.

when i first started writing The Spectacular Spidergirl, it was summer vacation and i was bored. when i started writing this one, i was almost done with summer vacation. i knew that i wasn't gonna finish this book if school started.

i'm not sure how many people read it, but in my authors note in The Spectacular Spidergirl, i had all the chapters for this book as well as a rough synopsis. that stuff was final, and that's what you're reading right now.

anyways, in the interest of finishing this book before school started, i had to cut a lot of stuff. this means a lot of fluffy daerin and bbangsaz, a lot of newjeans friendship, two illit subplots, and one ive subplot was cut. so, as a result, the rest of this book feels kinda rushed.

for that i am sorry. one day ill rewrite both of these books, and i swear yall will get some top tier content just stick with me okay😭🙏.

anyways, since chapter 5 sets up literally every event in the book, its important you know what happened.

basically, all five illit girls got cloned and have powers, and then the originals all died because i'm sick in the head. and haerin is currently possessed by doc ock. just a fair warning, she's gonna do a ton of shit that everyone's gonna hate me for😭

danielle and haerin left the torture lab. haerin saw minji in the distance, carrying both hanni and hyein.

haerin sprinted toward minji, catching up to her pretty quickly.

"we're you always this fast?" haerin whispered.

"yes. i was." the real haerin said.

"don't you think you were holding back too much?" haerin whispered, taking hanni and hyein from minji's grasp, and still running faster than her while carrying them.

"you'll realize soon enough. i definitely wasn't holding back too much."

soon, the three girls who could still run around were above ground.

"alright, spider-girl, i'll take hanni back to the hospital. silk, you bring the file and check back to the police. spider-girl, you take anti venom back to her apartment." minji said, using their superhero names just in case anyone was looking.

"you aren't fit to give me orders." haerin said.

minji glared at her. "just do it. christ, how hard is it to bring your friend back to her apartment?"

"yeah haerin. please, just do it, okay?" danielle asked, clinging to haerin's arm.

"listen to me. it doesn't matter what she asks, whenever danielle says something, you listen. if it's an order or request, you carry it out IMMEDIATELY, got it?" the real haerin said.

"oh fine." haerin whispered.

"huh? who are you talking to?" minji asked.

"no one." haerin responded. "here, take hanni."

minji gave danielle the file and check, before taking hanni into her arms.

"just a little bit longer, okay? we'll get you back to the hospital, my love." minji said to hanni, holding her close.

just before they split up to go their three separate ways, a voice stopped them.

BANG.

"not so fast."
