A/N: Ik this isn't on the schedule, but I feel bad for ghosting both my books, if you can't tell I have commitment issues😭. But I promise I will try harder to start the end on both my books.
I woke up and I instantly felt cold. Turning around to what I expected to be Jill, I saw an empty mattress. I got up, walked down the hall, and entered the kitchen to find Jill standing with her back against me, cooking breakfast on the stove. I walked behind her getting as close as I could, while wrapping my arms around her neck.
"Good morning" She laughed while I just rested my head on her back and groaned. I was not a morning person.
She eventually started cooking and I prepared the table so we could eat.
"Sooooo." I dragged out, Bored of the silence as I sat on the island as she cooked.
"So," Jill said curious about what I was going to say.
"What are our plans today?" I asked.
"I don't have any, what do you have in mind?" She asked me, knowing I was onto something.
"I was just thinking we go to the store to get some groceries for what we're going to eat tonight, Cook dinner together, and watch a movie or something," I say as I was planning all this last night in a dream.
"I like that Idea." She says with a smile.
"What shall we eat for tonight?" I asked.
" As long as it's pasta, I'm fine with it, " she said, and I laughed. "What? " she said, clueless as to why I was laughing.
"Why does everyone like pasta? I mean, it's good. But come on, Burgers are where the hype is at," I say. But I could be down for some Alfredo," I say, shrugging. Now it was Jill's turn to laugh.
"You Americans, you're all the same. It's either Hotdogs or burgers," she laughed, and I smiled and shook my head.
"I'm going to go take a shower real quick. We will eat, then We'll leave for the store," I said and she gave me a nod in agreement. I ran upstairs and began my shower.
"Wow," I said as I took another bite. Jill smiled at me in amusement, happy to see I enjoyed her cooking. "These are the best chocolate chip pancakes I've ever had," I say while I pour a bit more syrup. Jill just laughed as she ate her fruit. we ate our food in a comfortable silence.
"So you don't like chocolate chip pancakes?" I say as I grab our glasses and dishes and take them to the sink.
"I like pancakes, not chocolate chip pancakes, I'm an athlete, not a monster." She laughed.
"Hey! I'm an athlete you know!" I say acting hurt.
"A Super athlete, You Americans are a different breed, I swear. You eat like that but look like that, I'm officially amazed." She says pointing to my abs.
"oooo, You look at my abs..." I said with a smirk, trying not to start cheesing.
She started cheesing before I did and her cheeks got bright red. "I think I'd be insane if I hadn't."
I'd finished washing the dishes and walked over to her standing by the island. I kissed her on the back of her neck and walked down the hall. "I'm going to get my shoes and wallet then we can go," I said.
We were walking to this supermarket in Ibiza. I was annoyed and Jill was well... Jill was Jill.
"You'll be fine Hudson we've only been here for 30 minutes," Jill spoke out as she rubbed my back, She's been saying that for the past 30 minutes.
"We came here for Alfredo and we have everything but that," I spoke. Stores were my worst nightmare. Unless I'm shopping of course.
"You want other stuff to eat no? Snacks, drinks?" She asked me fed up with my bickering. I stayed silent as she was right, just last night I was complaining. "Exactly, we're almost done. Patience..." She said as she kissed me on the forehead. I smiled at this gesture. We'd eventually finished up in the store and began making our way to the Air BnB.
The kitchen filled with steam and laughter and music, As I and Jill began cooking the alfredo. I'd grabbed my phone and put on a song I knew Jill would maybe like it. 'Perfect' by Ed Sheeran. As the pasta began to boil, I took Jill's hand and spun her around slowly. we moved together as I clasped my hands with hers. It was almost like something I'd dreamed. As I looked down into Jill's eyes, I saw something. It was almost A hint of love. The only thing I am sure about is how perfect and right this feels. It was almost meant to be.
We sat on the couch and put a movie on, Jill was hesitant at first about eating on the furniture. Europeans are far more 'classy and formal' than Americans sometimes. We eventually finished our food and movie. Jill didn't seemed tired at all, which gave me a cute idea.
"We have one more thing on the agenda if you're up for it," I say smirking at her, Winding her up.
"You know what, Sure, why not?" Jill said amused, curious about what I had up my sleeve. She put her slippers on and we were out the door. We began walking down the road to a big market filled with mini-markets. It was being lit up by festival lights all around. Music was blasting and children ran all around the neighborhood playing. The parents were down at the bar in the mini market getting wasted. Which isn't where me and Jill were heading but a store nearby it.
"An ice cream store," Jill said as she stared blankly at me. I stood there unsure of her blunt reaction, I couldn't tell if she was happy we came or disappointed.
"well... I-" I stuttered, confused about what I should say to make up for it. "I thought maybe we could get-" As I said my sentence I could tell Jill wasn't upset we came. She had a smile wider than mine... before my slight heart attack. "Ice cream, Like we..." I said.
"Did when we first hung out?" We said in sync, and it clicked to me that she cared just as much as I did. That's when I felt her arms wrap around my neck, and she pulled me into a kiss. And yet again, it felt perfect. It's so perfect, it made all the wait worth it. But with this ice cream 'hangout', unlike the last, I got my kiss, The kiss I'd been longing for.
