Their debut was that day, her hair stylist and make-up artist didn't show so that meant she had to do her hair and make-up herself.

Nerves and anxiety rushed throughout her, so many worries, disbandment, judgement, so many worries, too many.

She sat down in the seat behind the mirror backstage, she had changed into the short skirt and short, tight top she had been assigned to wear, she was wearing shorts underneath the skirt, they hadn't told her to but at the same time, they hadn't told her not to.

She tied the front pieces of her hair into a low ponytail at the back of her head, giving a half-slick-back-but-not slick-back look, tying all of her hair into a high ponytail.

She used a bit of hair gel to slick back her hair and she used a straightener to curl the ends of her hair.

She began her make up, she wasn't the best at make up, but she wasn't the worst either, she brushed foundation onto her skin, blending it so it looked like it wasn't even there, she had already applied concealer, hiding her dark under eyes and all the cuts on her face. She brushed on eyeshadow, also brushing on a small bit of mascara, she brushed on some lip gloss before staring at herself in the mirror.

She looked so different to just months ago.

She never thought she'd be debuting.

5-year-old her would be over the moon if she ever found out what she was about to do.

When she was younger, she had always wanted to become a K-pop idol but that was before her whole world came crumbling down.

But she was about to debut as a K-pop idol.

Wow.

She never thought she'd even make it out of her father's care alive.

What if she messed up?

What if people didn't like her?

What if they disbanded? She wouldn't have the money to pay for the training.

She took a deep breath, shaking her hands as if it shook the worries away.

"I never thought you'd be debuting." Soo-Min said as she sat on her lap facing her.

"Me neither." She admitted.

"I want to be like you when I grow up." Soo-Min decided.

She smiled at that, but what did Soo-Min see in her that was so great?

"And why is that?" she asked.

"Well, you always put others before yourself, you're so smart and kind. You're debuting despite the problems, worries, challenges, you pushed through and proved that there's always light at the end of the tunnel, that everything is always okay in the end." Soo-Min explained.

"I think you're fully capable of all that but it doesn't matter what I think, it's all about what you think and how much effort you put into things, what goes around comes around." She smiled. "If you put in effort and are always kind and understanding then you'll be rewarded eventually, not with money or in obvious ways but in smaller ways, little details and differences."

"BTS, it's time." A staff member said.

She got up, setting Soo-Min on the chair.

"Good luck." Soo-Min said.

"Thanks." She said.

Ji-a eagerly rushed over to Soo-Min jumping onto Soo-Min's lap, her eyes glued to the screen.

She followed Jisoo onto the stage, the stage was quite small, the audience awaited a performance that would 'blow them away' but she didn't think she was good enough, the others certainly were but she wasn't good enough, her vocals coach, the choreographer, everyone said so.
