"Kim Ji-a has liver cancer." The doctor told her.

Ji-a had liver cancer.

One of the fastest growing cancers.

"I'm sorry to inform you that she has a 20 percent survival rate as her cancer has spread outside of the liver." The doctor went on.

Each word being said, was like a brick being taken out of the walls in her mind; slowly but surely breaking her.

She simply couldn't lose Ji-a.

"Unnie, what is cancer? What is 'liver'?" Jia asked.

"A liver is an organ in your body, and cancer is a deadly disease." She answered.

"Am I going to die?" Ji-a asked with a shaky voice.

"I-I'm not sure." She answered, hugging Ji-a tight.

"Unnie, is Ji-a okay?" Soo-Min asked her.

She shook her head no, but Ji-a was strong. She'd survive.

Right?

"What's wrong with her?" Soo-Min asked.

"Liver cancer." She answered.

"Y/n, we need to go now." Yoongi Oppa told her.

She just nodded and followed Yoongi, they had a concert in a while that they couldn't be late for.

Soo-Min followed her, holding her hand with one hand an wiping away tears with the other.

They drove in silence, she couldn't help but worry about Ji-a, she was only five and she had a 20% chance of surviving liver cancer.

It had spread from the liver.

She should have seen the symptoms, weight loss, loss of appetite, stomach pains, vomiting, weakness and fatigue.

Now that she thought about it all the signs were there.

She should've noticed the signs.

The obvious symptoms.

Her biology teacher had done a chapter on it in school, and she still didn't notice the symptoms.

Now, thanks to her, Ji-a might not live.

She couldn't imagine a life without Ji-a, a life without any of her sisters, was a life not worth living, torture, hell.

When they finally got there, all she wanted to do was cry herself to sleep but she couldn't they had a concert.

She wasn't surprised to see that her hair and make up staff had bailed.

Once she had changed into her stage outfit, she sat behind the mirror, touching up her make up, and doing her hair.

"How'd it go?" Jisoo asked her.

"Not good, liver cancer, it has spread out of her liver. She has a 20% chance of surviving." She said, trying not to cry.

Jisoo pulled her into a hug.

"It's okay, Ji-a's a fighter, she'll be okay." Jisoo whispered.

And Ji-a had to be a fighter because of her. Her mistakes. Her blindness. Because she failed to see the liver cancer symptoms in Ji-a.

Tears threatened to fall, she fought back the tears on habit.

"Do you want to do matching nails?" Jisoo offered, holding up a bag of her nail equipment.

"Sure." She said.

. . .

The audience erupted into applause as they finished their performance, exiting the stage.
