Adopted By The Ways (Gerard and Mikey Way)

chp. 7

When we reached the hospital Ray carried me in as Gerard talked to the receptionist, we sat down waiting for him to come back. Gerard soon sat down next to Frankie with paperwork in his hands.
"Ok Lexi, it's time to get to know you better." Gerard laughed.
"Full name?" Frank asked.
"Alexis Trothoal Little." I answered.
"Birth date & age?" Gerard asked.
"October 26th, 1994." I answered. "16"
"Height and weight?" Gerard asked.
"5'3, 97 lbs." I answered.
"Hair color?" Gerard asked.
"Brown."
"Eye color?"
"Aqua blue."
"Any disorders?"
"Nope."
"Food allergies?"
"Nope."
So many questions and 10 pgs of paperwork later, a total of 45 mins later we were finally seen by a nurse. She looked at me as she entered the room and she looked like she was about to cry.
"Alexis, can you tell me what happened to you? and don't say you fell, darling. You obviously been hit badly." The nurse said as her gaze landed on the guys. Glaring at them accusingly. I followed her gaze and my eyes widened.
"Oh no, they didn't do this. Bullies at school did." I told the nurse.
"Are you sure honey?" The nurse asked.
"Yes, I'm sure." I seethed through my teeth.
"Excuse me, nurse.... I don't appreciate you accusing us that we would hurt our little sister." Mikey spoke up." We came here to get her leg looked at, alright."
"Alright, I'm sorry sir." The nurse said before she exited the room.

About 10 minutes later the nurse came back with a doctor with her. They looked at my leg and it turns out that I had to get the whole thing stitched up, I wasn't happy about that at all.
"Because with stitches, it will be a permanent scar and very noticeable." I explained.
"It'll be ok Lexi." Gerard said to me. "But I'm gonna have to leave the room when they stitch you up."
"Ok, I understand." I smiled at my brother.
"I just really hate needles." Gerard explained.
"It's alright Gee. I'll be fine."I said.
"We'll be right here, doll." Frank grinned at me. I smiled back.
"Thanks." I thanked them.

The door opened and the doctor came back on with his tools to stitch me up. Gerard got up to leave.
"I'm gonna get a coffee, does anyone want one too?" Gerard asked us and there was a chorus of 'yea' and 'sure' from all of us. "K, I'll be back." Gerard left the room.
"Alrighty, let's get you fixed up." The doctor said. "Lexi I'm gonna need you to lay on your left side. I'm going to numb your wound with this anesthesia, so you won't feel anything." The doctor said to me.
I did as I was told, laying down on my left side facing the guys. A frightened look on my face when I saw the needle the doctor will use on me. Frank, Ray and Mikey moved closer to me, Frank shielded my eyes, Mikey held my hands and Ray rested his hand on my calf. I can't feel the pain in my leg anymore, but I can feel tugging and it's really uncomfortable.

"I can feel tugging, someone please talk to distract me." I pleaded with the guys.
"Ok... so your birthday is a few days before mine... what would you like for your birthday present?" Frank asked me.
"Nothing, I don't celebrate my birthday anymore." I said to Frank. The guys looked at me like 'WTF'.
"Dolly, what not?" Frank asked.
"Because that's the day my parents died. I only light a candle for them and that's it. No party, no cake, no presents. It been working out well for me." I explained.
They all looked sad that I neglect the day I was born.
"Look, I don't expect you to understand, it's just another day.... it's not important." I sighed.

15 minutes later the doctor finished up and bandaged my leg. Once he was done giving us instructions on how to keep it clean and giving me a doctor's note for my school, we were free to go. Frank held me up as we made our way to the waiting room, Gerard was there with a tray of Starbucks Coffee on his lap for us. The guys each took there's and Gerard handed me mine.

"I had to guess what you wanted, so I got you a Peppermint Mocha Frap. (Which is my absolute favorite.) I hope you like it." Gerard smiled at me.
"Thanks Gee, I love peppermint mocha's. It's one of my favorites." I thanked him.
Gerard gave me a small hug.
"No problem kiddo... ohh Mikey, Lexi... mom just called me and said that they are going out of town for a week to visit mom's cousin. Mom asked us to watch over you while their gone." Gerard informed us.
