Haerin Vania:

Her mother immediately appeared in front of me as soon as the door open which I didn't expect na sya pala mismo ang magbubukas sakin.

"Good evening po can I talk with Cali... It's really important—"

I wasn't able to finish when Cali appeared behind her mom.

Oh god I really missed her so much

I'm really fighting my urge not to hug her dahil andito parents nya and knowing na they still don't know what's going on between us.

"P-prof... w-what are you doing here?" She stuttered habang palipat-lipat ang tingin nito sakin at sa mama nya.

I have a strange feeling na para bang I interrupted something na di dapat ma-interrupt.

"I'm sorry for coming here at this hour but I really need to talk with Ms. Laurel about something important" saad ko as her mother give a way for me to get inside.

I immediately step in when I feel a strange demeanour between her and her parents.

What the actual fvck is going on

"Maupo po kayo ma'am" pagbabasag ni Mr. Laurel sa katahimikan kaya kaagad na din akong umupo sa kaliwang bahagi, si Cali sa kanan at sa gitna naman ay mga magulang nya.

"Sakto po na dumating kayo ma'am kasi may lilinawin din po kami..." Her mother paused for a moment as she took a glance at Cali who's hands are fidgeting.

What's this...why do I feel like they already know about us?... could it be—

"Nililigawan nyo po ba ang anak ko?"

My eyes widened in surprised ng marinig ko yun mula sa bibig ng mga magulang nya.

Palipat-lipat ang tingin ko sa kanya at sa mga magulang nya, it's not that I'm going to deny na nililigawan ko sya... it's just I'm kinda surprised kasi—aiiisshh basta I can't explain what I'm feeling rn...kabado na excited.

I heaved a deep sigh bago sumagot sa kanila, yes I'm kinda nervous cause I really didn't see this coming pero it's fine kasi plano ko naman din talaga ang sabihin to sa kanila but...

I didn't expect that Cali would be the one to do it.

"Yes po Mr. and Mrs. Laurel... I'm courting your daughter"

The moment that Van told my mama about her being my suitor makes me feel at ease, akala ko kasi idedeny nya ako since we're not okay this past few weeks.

I also thought na she'll find some excuses para di malaman nila mama ang tungkol sa panliligaw nya sakin.

And right now, she's in front of us, telling how sincere she was sa nararamdaman nya sakin.

"I knew this surprised you a bit but I really love your daughter po, Yes I'm her teacher, she's my student there's a 6 years gap between us but that doesn't change the fact na mahal ko po anak nyo, I'm a licensed teacher but I will do everything just to keep in touch with her..."

Van paused for a moment as she took a glance at me and smiles.

That smile of hers, her smile na ako lang din mismo unang nakakita, her smile na nakakagaan ng loob....oh damn! how I missed her so much

Ngumiti naman ako sa kanya pabalik, as mama and tito glanced at each other too.

"Ma'am, kung papayagan po namin kayo na manligaw sa anak namin, naway mahalin nyo sya gaya ng pagmamahal namin sa kanya pero isa lang po ang hinihingi ko sainyo... please don't hurt her just like what his father did to her mom before"
