In which a quirkless teen doesn't mind the fact she can't be a hero, until the Number 1 Hero comes along and makes her life a mess.

Y/n and Tsuyu walked onto land as Tsu pulled Mineta with the end rope. Y/n glanced down at her middle finger and thumb which were now broken. She would really consider getting some anesthesia to carry with her cause the throbbing sucked major wiener.
"Are you okay?" Tsuyu and Mineta looked at the taller teen.
"Yeah." Y/n motioned her head to an exit. "We should take that exit, we should avoid the center plaza."
"Good idea, that way we won't run into the villains Mr. Aizawa's facing off with there."
The sound of villain's voices sounded from the plaza.
"Aizawa need backup, or he won't last much longer."
Mineta's eyes widened. "Wait don't tell me you're suggesting..."
Y/n nodded once. Her classmates stared at her bewildered.
"Are you trying to get us killed or something?"
Y/n frowned, looking at the male. "I'm not saying we jump in recklessly, but there's got to be some way to take out the outliers at least."
Mineta whined but ultimately followed the 2 girls, who peeked over a ledge. "Remember Y/n, we're just here to see how things are going, right?"
"Ribbit."
"Sure, whatever."
A good majority of the villains were scattered around as Aizawa kept moving. The hand man ran towards Aizawa who punched him in the gut but the success was short lived as the 3 teens realized that the hand on their teacher's elbow disintegrated his sleeve, before deteriorating the skin.
Y/n let out a low grasp at the sight.
Aizawa kicked him away, doing the same to a villain who tried getting behind him. The hand male went on to talk about how Aizawa's quirk wasn't suited to the current situation. The way he droned on made Y/n think he was a fan of the guy.
The giant mutation creature Y/n noticed earlier came up to Aizawa and swung a claw at him, slashing his face, knocking his goggles off. The 3 teens watched in horror as the nomu, as the blue haired male named it, continuously banged his head on the ground. The creature let out a roar, gripping Aizawa's arm and twisting it til a sickening crack was heard and the black haired man yelled in pain.
The hand guy stood across, watching. "You can erase people's powers, that's irritating, but it's nothing impressive. When faced with true devastating power you might as well be a quirkless child."
Aizawa tried using his quirk on the nomu but it slammed down on his other elbow, snapping it. The creature picked up Aizawa's head and banged it on the ground.
Mineta had tears in his eyes saying no and this time Y/n didn't blame him. She couldn't. "I can't watch this anymore. We should be getting out of here super fast shouldn't we?" He whimpered.
"Ribbit."
The portal man appeared next to the decayed quirk male. "Shigaraki Tomura."
"Kurogiri. Did you manage to kill Thirteen?"
"The rescue hero is out of commission, but there were students I was unable to dispose of and one of them got outside of the facility."
The blue haired male looked at him, scratching at his neck, thinking. The scratching progressively got harder as the scrawny male twitched and made weird noises. "Kurogiri, you fool. If you weren't our warp gate I'd tear apart every last atom in your body." The scratching stopped. "There's no way we can win if dozen's of pros show up to stop us. It's game over, back to the title screen. And I was looking forward to finishing this today, dammit." He looked at the warper. "Let's go home."
Mineta gasped. "Did I hear that right? Did he say they're going to just leave?"
"That's what it sounded like to me." Tsuyu said.
This time happy tears came to his eyes as he clung to Y/n, rubbing his head against her chest while reaching across to Tsuyu's. The 2 girls shared a looked before simultaneously shoving his head underwater.
"I have a real bad feeling about this Y/n."
The h/c haired girl nodded. "Yeah, its weird they're leaving even if help is coming. They originally wanted to kill All Might."
"Oh, before we leave, let's make sure the symbol of peace is broken." Shigaraki turned and stared straight into Y/n's eyes. "Let's break his pride." He lunged at the two and reached both hands out towards Y/n and Tsuyu respectively. "Let's make this hurt!"
Y/n and Tsuyu froze with the knowledge they're about to die. Y/n's lip quivered. The only thing she could think about was what Shigaraki's quirk had done to her teacher's elbow. She can't die. Not now. After everything, all her hard work she was just going to be undone by some creepy guy who wanted to kill her mentor. She never got to confront her mother. She never got to tell her friends how much she enjoyed them and their company. She never got to tell All Might how happy she was he came into her life and treated her like family. She's gonna die with nothing to show for it.
Y/n felt his rough fingertips on her forehead and cheeks, waiting for the inevitable.
It never happened.
Shigaraki made a confused noise. "You really are so cool." He turned his head to Aizawa who was staring at them through his pain, quirk activated. "Erasurehead."
Unfortunately the nomu slammed down his head, breaking the spell.
While Shigaraki was distracted Y/n took the chance to aim a loaded punch at him. The force knocked back villains and threw water up as the ground shook. When the smoke cleared the nomu was right in front of her in place of Shigaraki, her first aimed at it's gut. The only problem was the punch didn't hurt the creature in any way. If this could handle her punch then All Might was screwed. That thought sent chills through the girls body.
"You're pretty strong." Shigaraki told her. "Are you one of All Might's disciples? Doesn't matter. I'm done with you now."
The nomu grabbed her arm brought his other arm down to crush her. Tsuyu reached her tongue out as Shigaraki's hands went towards her and Mineta this time.
A pair of doors got busted down, breaking the concentration.
All Might stood in all his glory. "I am here."
