Chapter 38

sunoo sat on the edge of ni-ki's bed in silence, his mind preoccupied with the thought of moving on. it hurts, his heart hurts so much he wanted to take it out of his body so it wouldnt hurt anymore.

he stood up and made his way towards the picture frames that were placed on ni-ki's shelf. he observed how the youngers smile in each picture seemed to get wider and wider as he grew. with a chuckle, he took one of the picture frames and brought it closer to his face so he could look at it better.

just then, he felt two arms snaking around slowly on his waist and a head resting on his shoulder. sunoo jumped in shock, desperate to pull away from the younger but to his dismay, ni-ki was slightly stronger than him "what are you doing?" sunoo asked, the picture frame still in his hold.

"i dont want us to break up" ni-ki said sadly. the older turned his head to look at him after hearing what came out of his mouth "look at the wounds on your face, ni-ki. im the reason you got those" he replied with a sigh.

ni-ki smiled and tightened the grip he had on his waist "hyung, i told you id protect you" he said sternly. sunoo placed the picture frame back on the shelf and closed his eyes "you were so happy back then" the older paused for a few seconds to stare at the picture "but you make me the happiest, sunoo" ni-ki said.

sunoo pulled away from him and sat on his bed, the younger sitting beside him shortly after "im sorry for that thing with daniel ni-ki, im sorry for yelling at you, im sorry for not trusting you, im sorry for everything" he cried.

ni-ki reached out to hold his hand and flashed him a smile "stop. i should be the one apologizing because, i shut you out and i didnt give you the chance to explain yourself. im sorry too, for everything" ni-ki said.

"but you might get hurt again. are you sure you wanna try this again, with me?" the older asked him. ni-ki flashed him a reassuring smile and placed a soft kiss on his lips "theres still so many things left on my list that i wanna do, with you. i cant imagine doing all those things with somebody else. i really cant" he chuckled, placing another kiss on the olders lips.

sunoo's face turned beet red. he had to cover his face in embarrassment and take every will in his body to stop himself from smiling "okay then. but first, we really need to figure out who my stalker is. im getting real tired of his threats" he sighed. ni-ki placed his right hand on sunoo's cheeks and connected their foreheads "we'll figure it out together, hm?" he assured him.

"i missed you so much" sunoo immediately threw his arms around the younger and pulled him down on the bed "what about me did you miss the most?" ni-ki looked at him curiously while his arms made its way to sunoo's waist, pulling him closer.

sunoo smiled "i missed looking at your moles up close, staring at your face while you sleep, waiting for you to text me every morning and night, buying you bungeoppang, cuddling, and.." he paused for a few seconds to look at ni-ki's lips.

ni-ki chuckled while he waited for him to continue "and?" he asked "i missed your kisses the most" sunoo said shyly "really?" he asked with a hint of mischief evident in his voice. the older nodded and before he knew it, ni-ki had already pressed his lips onto his.
