Rajeev's POV

These past few days, Piyush and I have been assisting Vikram with his business, and together, we've managed to restore the company's former glory. Seeing Vikram return to his usual self brought me a sense of satisfaction. However, I knew that Vikram wasn't truly happy. The unresolved mystery surrounding Riya, the woman accused of betraying the company, still weighed heavily on his mind. When I asked Vikram about it, he admitted that Riya was a tough nut to crack. She steadfastly denied any wrongdoing, despite the evidence against her.

I offered to take charge of the situation, confident in my methods, but Vikram firmly refused. He didn't want me involved in his company's problems, nor did he want my reputation to be tarnished by such matters.

Despite his refusal, my mind wasn't at peace. I couldn't ignore the nagging feeling that I should be doing more to help Vikram. So, I asked if there was anything else I could do. Vikram mentioned that Riya's family had filed a complaint with the police and asked if I could handle the matter discreetly.

Immediately, I called the Director of Police and explained the situation. Understanding the delicacy of the matter, the Director assured me that his subordinates would act as if they were diligently searching for Riya, while in reality, they would ensure that the investigation led nowhere. This would buy us more time to uncover the truth without external pressure. Satisfied with this arrangement, I hoped this would ease some of Vikram's burden.

Yet, I couldn't shake the unease in my heart. Something about this entire situation felt off, and I was determined to get to the bottom of it, but I didn't want to go against Vikram's wishes.

I decided to take another approach and called Piyush. "Piyush, I need you to do a complete dig into Riya's phone and laptop," I instructed. "Check her call logs, messages, and pictures. And don't forget to review the recordings from her laptop camera."

Our company's laptops had a special feature where the camera automatically started recording from the moment the employee logged in. This might give us some insights into Riya's activities and possibly uncover something we had missed.

Piyush understood the urgency in my voice and got to work immediately. As I waited for his findings, I couldn't help but think about the implications of Riya's innocence. If she truly wasn't guilty, then someone else was orchestrating this entire scheme. And I needed to find out who, for Vikram's sake and the company's future.

Hours later, Piyush called back with a tone that suggested he had found something significant. "Rajeev, you need to see this," he said. "There's something on Riya's laptop recordings that might change everything."

I immediately called Vikram, and we both went to the study where Piyush was working. Entering the room, I saw Piyush's shocked face, which made me feel uneasy. He played the recording from Riya's laptop, showing footage from the last few days before we took her into custody.

The video revealed Riya receiving a call, and assuming it to be an emergency, she left her seat while her laptop remained unlocked. What we saw next shocked all three of us to the core. Another woman from her department approached Riya's laptop, and we watched as she began sending crucial files and information to someone through an app. Once she finished, she meticulously placed the laptop back where Riya had left it, ensuring nothing seemed amiss.

Vikram's eyes widened in disbelief. "Who is that woman?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Piyush quickly pulled up the employee records. "Her name is Priya Malhotra. She's also an intern in the finance department."
