We arrived at Cid's parlor relatively quickly after my mental breakdown. Even still, I had plenty of time to think about what Vial had said on the way. While I thought most of it was bullshit that was going to stay in the back of my mind for an eternity, I determined one really central idea.
It does not matter.
None of it.
Nothing matters.
Literally, I could walk from planet to planet with the most intimate disguise spells and Vial would still be able to find me. Maybe that meant that using my magic would not give me away, granted that I use my judgement on the scene at hand. Hunter might ease up on his 'dad,' and let me use more magic. That might make our chances of both being found and surviving in general astronomically larger. Hopefully, it would only be the second option, because while I did not really mind death, I do not think Omega is just as fond of it.

"We've got to talk to Cid about this," Echo said, taking me from my thoughts as the ship landed.

"Great," I responded, halfheartedly smiling, "just what we needed."

"It doesn't matter," Hunter brushed it off, "that just means we might get a break from doing things."

Wrecker and Omega were giving each other peculiar looks.

As we began to walk into the parlor, Wrecker walked up to Hunter, "the missions over, can we go?"

"Again?" Hunter gave a tired dad stare.

"It's a tradition!" Wrecker said, then he leaned in closer to Hunter and gave a false whisper, "it makes the kid happy."
I do not know whose look was more hilarious, Hunter's, or Omega's.

Hunter sighed, "fine, just don't be long. Y/n, can you accompany us this time please?"

"Sure," I responded, then I turned to Wrecker, "save some for me," I winked.

Hunter shook his head as I accompanied him into the back; Cid was waiting as expected.

"Where's the droid?" She asked suspiciously, clearly already aware that we did not have it.

"We don't have it, it's in better hands right now," I responded.

"You needed that money," Cid probed, making my itch to punch her in the face grow instantly.

"Maybe," I shrugged, a nasty taste was on my tongue.

"How are you supposed to pay off your debt with no money?" Cid smirked.

"What debt?" Hunter asked, his smokey tone spiking with intense anger.

Cid tossed Hunter a data pad.
He began to read the charges aloud, "docking fees... port charges... fuel... and TwEnTy OnE cArToNs Of MaNtElL mIx?!"

The last one almost sent me off, but I kept it to a snort and a snicker. I saw a smile curl up on Echo's lip from that.

"Whatever way you're going to pay that off, I suggest you figure something out, before you see my ugly side!" Cid exclaimed, and pointed at us.

"That's not her ugly side?" Tech said quietly, making me laugh historically into my hands.

"What wAS THAT GOGGLES?!" Cid huffed, making me laugh more.

"Hehehee... Goggles..." I laughed, nearly walking into a wall, which made me laugh more.
I playfully nudged Tech, "I'm going to call you that from now on."

He gave me an annoyed frown in response.

"Yes, hilarious," Cid gave me a distasteful look, "but-..."

A blaster shot interrupted Cid's next thought. It had come from the bar room. Hunter, Echo, Tech, and I exchanged a look before rushing into the room. Someone, clearly a man wearing clone armor, had a smoking blaster in one hand, and panicked pedestrians in front of him.

"It's been a long time," he turned, taking off his hood, "boys."

"Rex," Hunter said as he turned to face him more directly.

I suddenly felt a whole bunch of twinges; guilt, pain, horror, happiness, sadness, and every emotion in between. However, the most powerful emotion by far, was anxiety and fear. I was starting to dread what Rex was going to say to me, or how he would treat me. I was hoping that we could at least talk it out before any conclusions were exploited.

Rex gave a smirk, walked over to us, and started talking to us. In that conversation, I was practically a ghost; Rex mostly ghosted me, even if I was referenced in conversation. Which, honestly, I did not really mind; I was too busy thinking about how I had betrayed his feelings. I had betrayed Rex, Anakin... the others... and now it was too late to tell them...
How do you live with that?
How am I supposed to live like that and look like nothing is wrong?
It seems like a load of horse-shit to me.

Finally, Wrecker and Omega came back. Wrecker was the first to act, as usual. He walked up to Rex, and picked him up and brought him into a hug.

"Rex!" He exclaimed, squeezing him tight.

Rex gave an awkward, 'this is fine,' smile, "it's good to see you too Wrecker."

Wrecker put him down and stepped aside, revealing Omega.

"Rex," Hunter said, hefting a drink, "this is Omega."

Rex knelt to study her, "I've met many clones in my life, but never one like you."

Omega gave a smile and began to study his face. Rex was clearly a little uncomfortable.

"You're a generation one," Omega smiled.

"Now how did you know that?" Rex asked.

"From the lines on your face," she shrugged innocently.

"Yeah..." Rex stood, "I guess you could say I've been around."

I was snickering my ass off because Omega just basically told him he is old. Rex gave me an annoyed look, but I am pretty sure Echo was giving me a proud glance.

"So uh... what're you here for?" I asked, looking at Rex.

It looked like he was about to give me an answer, but Wrecker caught him off. Wrecker gave a loud groan before clutching his head. I instantly went on guard mode, and, although I was instantly ashamed of this act, I did not stop.

"Tech," Wrecker looked at him, "I need another one of those med patches."

"You used the last one," Tech responded absentmindedly.

"What's wrong?" Rex drawled out his sentence.

I was beginning to be more and more tense. My heart was thumping in my throat. Every inch of me, quivered, as I felt a million pairs of eyes on me.

"Nothing," Wrecker stuttered, "it's just a headache. Ow!"

"Which are becoming more and more frequent," Hunter said, arms folded, and leaning against the wall.

Rex put his hand to his blaster, "do you know about the... the chip...?"

Everyone instantly tensed, and turned to Rex.

"You suspect they...?" I whispered, Rex gave me a nod, "have you removed them?"

"We haven't had the time, plus, they've never worked. Except in Crosshair. Our deviant nature made sure of that," Tech pointed his finger at the sky.

"You're telling me," Rex moved into a ready stance, "you haven't removed your chips?"

"No, not yet," Tech replied, finally sensing the danger.

"Those chips make you a threat to everyone around you, even her!" Rex pointed at Omega, who was hiding behind him, "you're all ticking time bombs. And I don't wanna bury even more of our brothers."

"Take it easy commander," Hunter said, "what do you suggest we do?"

I felt faint and pale, the words Rex uttered made my throat dry. I could feel and hear my heartbeat in my forehead, everything seemed to be a little darker, and more blurry.

Thankfully, Echo noticed, "y/n, you're doing the thing again."

"Shit," I whispered, instantly sitting down.
Their judgement on an incoming panic attack was better than my own I guess.

"You alright?" Rex asked as he relaxed; when I nodded, he turned back to Hunter, "I know a way."
