Being safe in hyperspace, we headed back towards Cid's place.
"Now that's what I call a close call," I smiled at Omega, who had not moved three feet away from Hunter or Wrecker.
"It is a good thing you didn't retain any fatal injuries," Tech said, pointing his finger in the air and scanning her.
"Guess it never hurts to check?" I shrugged, looking down at Omega, "I'm just glad we won't have to do that again."
"Really?" Omega looked up at me, "you mean it?"
I laughed, "of course I mean it! When's the last time I've broken a promise?"
"Actually-..." Tech began, but I cut him off, "we're not talking about that."
Omega walked over to me as I knelt in front of her, "you really promise?"
I smiled, "why wouldn't I?"
She rushed in to give me a hug, forcing me to use all my willpower not to flinch. I picked her up and walked to the cockpit, Hunter followed behind me.
"And you can have plenty of time to relax now, we might be in hyperspace for a little while," I smiled as we looked out the cockpit windshield.
Omega and I stared together until she seemed to get tired; all that was left to was take a short rest before we would continue forward. A nagging feeling in the back of my head told me that the promise I made would be in vain, but I dismissed it, saying if it was, I would make it not so.
Omega fell asleep quickly, so did everyone else, except for Hunter. He sat in the cockpit, probably either thinking or brooding inside his head. I shook my head and crawled to my corner of the ship.
But, before I could fall asleep, I saw Omega come out of her room, and walk quietly to the cockpit. I smiled as I turned back to my music, but something almost made me laugh out loud.
I was pretty sure I just heard Tech snore.
It took a lot of power to not laugh, so I put down as a short chuckle and a giggle before putting my headphones in. Once my headphones were in, it was just me and music. There were no bounty hunters or problems there, but it was my place of peace.
I nodded off surprisingly quickly for me, I guess rescuing someone really takes it out of you.
I do not know how long I slept, but I was pretty sure it was way more than what I had gotten in the past month.
I honestly thought I slept for a good three hours!
"We're about to land," I heard Tech's voice from the cockpit.
I must have not heard him get up, I guess I really needed some sleep then.
I yawned and stretched as I walked into the cockpit, Echo was sitting in the copilot seat with Tech.
"You're awfully quiet," I stood behind his chair, "bottling up some good ol' anger?"
He gave me an annoyed look.
"It is about Omega? I also want to beat the shit out of the Kaminoans right now, but, our main objective is to keep her safe, so I can't. You should keep that in mind too, we need to be here for her, especially now," I smirked.
"That was... surprisingly insightful for you," Echo returned, "did you read something or...?"
I gave him a disgusted frown, "ha ha."
"We're here," Tech called back, summoning everyone to the cockpit.
We landed fairly smoothly and quickly. Omega could not wait to get outside and walk around. We decided on going back to Cid's parlor, and get Omega some mantel mix on the way there.
Everything seemed exactly how we left it when we came back; thankfully so, I did not know if I was up for another mission just yet.
But, just as I had finished that thought, Cid came shuffling into the room, saying, "I've got a mission for you boys."
