Martez Sisters

"Wow, she's something else isn't she Trace?" One of the sisters said as I leapt forward and beat the droids back easily.

"Yeah, who is she? We could use her against the empire," Trace said, "Rafa? Do you think she's...?"

She gasped, "wait... you're right! Hey! YOU! Girl!"

"I'm y/n, not girl," I frowned as I turned to face the two sisters, "what?"

"We need to talk to you after this fight! Do you know Ahsoka Tano?" Trace asked, "if you are who we think you are, you'll know her."

"Depends..." I responded, immediately getting suspicious, "who's asking."

"After the battle," Rafa said, blasting a droid.

I shook my head, and continued to fight off the police droids.

I cannot believe I am saying this, but thanks to the separatists battle droids, the battle ended much quicker than it would without them. It feels... so strange to fight with separatists droids, but I did not mind as long as my squad was alright.

I gasped, "Wrecker?"

"I got it," I heard Wrecker on comms.

"Oh thank God," I gave a great exhale, "we're still okay."

"Yeah," Wrecker caught up to me easily, "I'm alright."

"You injured? Let me look," I looked up at him.

"No, really, it's fine!" He insisted, "it's only a small injury after all."

I stayed quiet, but started silently worrying. I felt like I was missing something, but I could not place what it was.

We fought the droids back, and escaped through the door; unfortunately, the head of the tactical droid got destroyed in the process.

"Let me get this straight," Trace walked up to me, "you were going to give that information to someone you don't even know?"

"We're hired to deliver, not ask questions," Hunter responded, continuing his talk with Tech.

"Hmph..." Trace turned around and started talking to Rafa.

I walked over to Tech, "Tech? Something feels... off..."

He began to look immediately concerned, so did Hunter.

"What do you mean?" Tech asked, "is something dangerous about?"

"Nothing dangerous... but... I don't mean to be rude but..." I lowered my voice to a harsh whisper and leaned forward, "did you see the way they looked at me?"

"Admittedly," Tech also had his voice low, "that was very strange..."

"I agree, it's almost like... they knew you. Do you know them?" Hunter asked in a harsh whisper.

"No I don't, but they know Ahsoka, and I know Ahsoka. We were like... best friends. You know?" I explained, drawing on my palm, "but Ahsoka never spoke of these... Martez sisters... Maybe it was after she left the Jedi order..."

"She left?" Hunter asked.

"Yes," Tech answered, "although, this pertenant information is highly irrelevant to our situation, so I never bothered to tell anyone about it."

"All things aside," I wanted to get us back on track, "I don't like this..."

"You should do it... carefully..." Hunter said, "we should find out what they know. And take this," he handed me the droid data, "they're going to use it more than we will."

I nodded and carefully walked to Trace and Rafa, "here," I handed them the information, "you're going to use it more than we are, and probably better than we are."

"Really? You'd just give it to us?" Rafa asked.

"You really are Ashoka's friend she spoke of," Trace looked at Rafa.

"About that," I narrowed my eyes, "what do you know?"

"Pretty much just after we finished helping Ahsoka get out of here, she called us again. She told us she had some valuable information about someone named y/n that we would see at some point in our lives. It's a recording she gave us to give to you, and it's amazing she knew; we didn't listen to it at all, so..." Trace handed me the recording, "here it is."

It was a small chip with a blinking yellow light on it. I took it and tightly gripped it in my palm.

"Thank you," I said shortly, deeply disturbed by Ahsoka figuring out something about me, "did she say who it was from?"

"Someone named Vial? I dunno, but she seemed really anxious to get it to you," Rafa said, "we figured we would give it to you instead of listen to it ourselves."

"I appreciate that," I started to walk away, "thanks Martezes."

I rejoined our group, and, altogether, we walked into our ship and sped away.

"What happened?" Tech asked when Hunter, him, and I were alone.

"It's a recording that Ahsoka found... apparently, the recording is from Vial, and it's an important message. Apparently, Ahsoka heard that the message was for me, and gave it to the Martez sisters to give to me. Somehow, she knew they would see us, and I'm not entirely surprised she did." I explained quickly.

"Has anyone else listened to it?" Hunter asked.

"Apparently, the message remains untouched," I responded, getting more intrigued by the mystery message by the minute.

"Should we listen to it now?" Tech asked me, concerned.

"I don't know, but the whole team should hear it," I responded, thinking of the last time I was the only one who knew something.
Oh wait.
That is my entire existence.

"Everyone," Hunter called, "come in the cockpit."

Omega, Wrecker, and Echo quickly came in the room; Tech and I made the jump to hyperspace quickly as well.

"There has been a concerning update," Hunter began, "there's a message for y/n."

"Is it that bad to get a message?" Omega asked, looking up at Wrecker.

"When you're me, yes it is," I responded with a light tone.

"The message is from Vial, and it sounds like a concerning message," Hunter said as he gave me an anxious look.

"Should we look at it at all?" Wrecker asked, "I mean... is it that important?"

I sighed, "there could be many reasons that this is just a blackmail message from Vial, but it if reveals some crucial information by accident... it may be worth seeing. I'm sorry everyone, but I have got request that I listen to this message."
