"So," Hunter walked into the cockpit, "who are we dealing with?"
"Zygerrian slave traders," I responded, "that's who has Muchi anyway."
"Slave traders?" Omega looked up at Hunter.
"Yes," Hunter looked at her, "they sell people against their will for money."
"That's horrible," Omega looked down, "can't they refuse?"
"They don't have a choice," Echo looked at her, "they're sold, and treated like property. The Zygerrians don't care as long as they're getting a prophet for them."
I put my hand on Echo's shoulder, "that's why we're going to help Muchi."
I thought to myself, I know what you are thinking about. I understand. I know how you feel. The clones, they were treated the same way, and if many had their way, they probably still would. Things are different here, so you can treasure this.
Echo looked at me, and nodded; almost as if he could tell what I was saying.
"Everyone," Tech addressed us, "we will be momentarily jumping out of hyperspace, we are nearly there."
Echo walked away, and I sat down next to Tech. Together, we pulled the ship out of hyperspace, and entered the planet's atmosphere. We chose a spot out of the way, so that most would not find it.
"We're here," I walked to the others, Tech was right behind me, "now what do we do?"
"Here's the plan," Hunter addressed everyone, "Wrecker, Echo, Tech, and I will go ahead and check things out. Y/n, you and Omega hang back, we might need backup. If you don't hear from us, you'll assume we've been captured."
"At least we might actually get to do something this time," I rolled my eyes, "but don't die alright?"
I received a couple of nods, and few, 'no promises,' looks. I gave a smirk to the boys as they left.
They were out there for a while, and we had not heard from them in half-an-hour.
"Y/n," Omega approached me, "how are you so calm about this? They could've been captured by now, or killed... maybe even worse."
"Expelled," I responded immediately without meaning to.
"What?" Omega gave me a look of total confusion.
I pinched the bridge of my nose, "you won't get it..."
To be honest, I had no idea why I was so calm, or how I was remaining calm right now.
"Do you think we should do something yet?" Omega looked up at me.
I looked at her, waited a second, frowned, and sighed, "yeah, I'm bored of sitting around here right now."
I walked to the ships communicator, and decided to issue a message, "Hunter, what's your status?"
Just static.
"Hunter?"
Static again.
"Hunter, Echo, Wrecker, or Tech? Anyone there?"
More static, I did not like the sound of that.
"That probably means it's our time to step in," I started walking to the ship door.
"Without a plan?!" Omega caught up to me, "really?!"
I smirked, "I prefer to wing it. Ideally, it works."
Except for that one time...
...
Never mind.
"Come on," I motioned to the outside planet, "just stick with me, and... listen I suppose... I'm not really good at giving talks like this."
"I know," Omega responded cheerfully, taking to my side, "I'll just follow your lead."
I took off in a random direction, and got on the highest piece of ground I could see. Omega waited at the bottom while I scanned the area for anything useful.
"Oh," I pulled out my binoculars, "that's them alright. Of course they're captured."
I was whispering to myself of course, I do that when I know I have to do something serious.
I slid down the rock structure, "they've been captured, and they definitely need assistance."
I pointed to the encampment.
"Won't we have to be careful?" Omega stopped me from moving, "the slave traders would probably want you more than anything... with all the stuff you can do."
I widened my eyes, "probably, but I'd like to see them try."
I raced off in their direction.
"Let's not tempt fate!" Omega chased after me.
I was not good at this, I was not super great with children.
When I got to a preferable position, I waited for Omega. When she got there, I positioned her so that she was just barely peaking over the cover I found. I told her what I knew of the encampment.
"See there," I pointed to the highest point on the camp, "that's their advantage point. They've got flying lizard things."
"I don't know y/n," Omega reassured me, "I bet you're an amazing flyer."
"Did Hunter tell you about what I look like?" I asked, "or did you see already?"
Omega looked like she was going to ponder this for a while.
"It doesn't matter," I shook her from her thoughts, "we need to get down there, but how?"
Omega and I thought for a while.
"We need a distraction!" We said at the same time.
"Where's a distraction?" I scanned the base, "oh! Look there!"
I pointed to a large cage, "looks like a Rancor. We can definitely get a distraction from that."
Omega nodded to me, "I can do that, it would probably be easier for me than you."
"Yeah," I smirked, "'cause you're short."
Omega frowned, "not funny."
"I'll make sure your path is clear." I replied, "I hope I don't have to transform anytime soon..."
"It wouldn't be that bad... would it?" Omega looked at me with confusion.
I hesitated, "I'll tell you about it later. For now, let's just get our brothers out of there."
"Except Tech," Omega said, "he's not just your brother."
I frowned at Omega as she ran off; I was annoyed that I understood what she was saying.
"Fuck you..." I said under my breath.
When I heard a crash that sounded like falling, I panicked, "OR NOT THAT'S FINE TOO!"
I did not hear a response, and I do not even know why I said that; either way, I had to make sure Omega was going to be alright.
How was I going to do that again?
