"I see," Tarkin murmured, and turned his attention back to the simulator.

By now the guys were almost done with the simulator. I smiled, and tried to keep myself from laughing when Wrecker came out and destroyed them all.

"What else you got?" He shouted at us, "give me more!"

Tarkin stiffened, "switch to live fire."

I almost stopped breathing, I'm sorry, what did he say?

"Admiral Tarkin, I must protest," the Minister protested, "live fire can damage my clones, and my facility."

"Do it!" He insisted.

The Minister reluctantly pushed the button for live rounds, and I could only stand by and watch. Though, it is probably a good thing, because I knew I would end up using my magic. As the droids came up; I walked closer to the glass, hands glued behind my back. I tried to look as uninterested to them, but it was definitely hard.

As the simulator began, and they realized it was live rounds; they huddled in a corner. They were pinned down, and Wrecker got shot, but they were alive. I watched them quickly devised a plan of attack, and it was effective at first. Tech had reprogrammed a droid, and was using against them, but it was all fun and games until his robot got shot, and he was winded. He kind of laid on the ground, and did not move for a while.

Heh, that is what I feel like doing right now.

What was even cooler, was the end of the simulation; where Crosshair shot an electrocuted knife into a droid's head. I was not paying much attention to what Tarkin was saying about the bad batch, but he was definitely impressed with their tactics.

Once the simulator was over, they helped each other up, and were instructed to go to their barracks. I was about to go back, but Tarkin had other ideas.

"You are to accompany me to their barracks, Shackle." Tarkin said, "we are to brief them on their new mission."

I almost did not follow him, because I forgot my name is Shackle right now. However, I came to my senses quickly, and followed behind Tarkin.
I can only think of the guys being upset. Wrecker's probably saying something like, they used live rounds on us?! Crosshair would be like, stow it, you got shot, it happens. Then Tech would say, we know. But there is a fundamental difference between taking fire in battle, and being used for target practice; or some shit like that.

We walked for what seemed hours before we found the door to their barracks. They seemed to be arguing, but they stiffened into a respectful posture for the admiral.

"That was quite an impressive display," he walked into the room.

"Didn't have much choice," Hunter murmured.

"Our empire may have methods that seem a bit, unorthodox, but so does this squad," Tarkin continued, "I have a mission for you. Track down a group of insurgents posing a large threat to our empire; and terminate them."

I stayed had to stay outside the barracks while the guys prepared, and when they did I walked with them to their ship.
We walked in silence this time; Wrecker and Crosshair went to armory to get supplies. Tech, Echo, Hunter, and I were busy preparing the ship, and trying to find out more information about this mission.
However, as far as we were concerned, our search remained unfruitful and we were at an impasse.

Wrecker and Crosshair came back, and Tech and I were helping them load the explosives. Apparently, Crosshair and Wrecker cried upon seeing the new armory; which I am sorely disappointed I missed. However, that was not the only thing that was foreshadowing. Hunter, and Omega talked again, but this time, it was a warning. I meant to tell the rest of the gang about what I heard, but I was too distracted to say anything.

We flew to the mission site, feeling like we're doing something horribly wrong. We stepped out of the ship, and onto the cold ground of this planet; I agreed with Wrecker, this place smelled like a swamp. And my sense of smell is much better than theirs; so it was pretty awful.

"Can you get a signal on the insurgents?" I walked up to Tech.

"No," he responded, "all this vegetation is jamming it."

"Hmm, pretty smart; I'll give them that." I nodded.

I could tell he agreed with me, even though he did not say anything.

"We'll just go on foot; it's about two klicks south anyway; let's head in that direction," Hunter pointed southward.

We tracked until we could finally get a visual on them.

"Y/n, you're up," Hunter pointed to a tall tree.

I nodded and jumped up the tree; I soared to a branch that was high and out of sight. I used a little magic to enhance my vision, and I gasped a what I saw. I quite literally, almost fell off the branch.

"There are children down there," I spoke quietly through comms.

"Children? O-out here?" Hunter grabbed some scopes and looked at the people.

"Y/n, what else do you see? ... y/n? What else do you see? Y/n!"

I must have heard my name through comms one hundred times, but I could tell someone was trying to find me; so I did not move a muscle. Although, it did end up getting the rest of my squad captured; but I knew better than to try to break them out. If these insurgents are really insurgents, they will try to kill us, if they do not, then they are allies.
