"We got incoming!" Wrecker shouted, getting everyone's attention when he started blasting.
Crosshair had arrived with his crew.
"He was shot in the chest plate!" Echo assessed the obvious.
"We have to get him on board," Tech continued, "help me Y/n!"
I moved to Hunter and picked him up; getting to the ship was relatively straightforward, but we had to deal with another threat under our wing.
"Tech! Y/n! Get us out of here!" Echo commanded, taking Hunter with Wrecker's help.
"Got it! Tech! Start the ship!" I shouted, running into the cockpit.
Tech needed no further words of encouragement, he took off right away, leaving Crosshair, and the Empire, in the dust.
"Wait..." I glanced back at where Hunter was, "where's Omega?"
The only thing that Hunter was able to do was groan from the pain of his wounds. I frowned at him, but waited patiently in the cockpit with Tech.
"We should be safe now," he said after some time, "Hunter needs your healing Y/n. I want to run some diagnostics on the ship."
I nodded to him as I strolled back to where Hunter was. Echo and Wrecker had him nicely laid on the ground.
Carefully, I removed his upper body armor, and put both palms, one on top of the other, over his wound. I concentrated, trying to think of bridging the skin back together, lacing it with magical stitches. Before long, I had Hunter's wound in a stable state with minimal bleeding.
"Hand me some bandages," I ordered aloud, not caring who heard it.
Echo quickly brought me bandages for Hunter's wound. I made sure to tie them nice and tight around his chest, there was hardly an indication of a wound there now; there was only a few dots of deep red blood.
I sighed as I relaxed, relieving stress from my body; I closed my eyes as I laid my head back against the cold metal of the ship wall. A lot had just happened in the past fifteen or so minutes.
"Where's Omega?" Hunter asked suddenly, taking me out of my relaxed state.
Panic ensued inside me, but I kept my voice calm, "we were hoping you could tell us that."
Hunter seemed to be trying to mask his extreme worry, which was climbing very quickly.
"You mean, you don't have her?" He asked for clarification.
"No," I shook my head in despair, "you were the last person with her. What happened, Hunter?"
Hunter stood up painfully, "a bounty hunter, we have to get her back!"
"We will," I reassured him, putting my hands on his shoulders, "let's figure out who we're dealing with first. Is there anything you can tell us about this bounty hunter that might narrow it down? Anything at all?"
I curled my lip in fear as he described the bounty hunter, I instantly recognized the hunter: Cad Bane. The thought trigged so many more memories, so many of them from the Clone Wars.
I closed my eyes as Hunter finished, "I know who that is, it's Cad Bane."
"How do you know?" Echo asked me curiously.
"Yes," Tech reaffirmed Echo's question, "how?"
I sighed and gave a sad smile, "nobody else wears a hat like that..."
"Please, Y/n, be serious," Echo rolled his eyes.
"Cad Bane is an expert bounty Hunter marksman. Very few of his targets have ever gotten away from him. He seasoned enough to avoid Jedi. He's powerful enough to kill one, in the proper circumstances. Cad Bane had been to republic prison, like, three times, and he escaped all three times..." I explained, pinching the bridge of my nose as I tried to remember everything.
