I take a deep breath as I adjust the opal engagement ring on my finger, feeling the weight of the decision Adrien and I made last night. We've been together for three years, and I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else. I'm filled with excitement and nerves as we prepare to officially announce our engagement to our parents.

We decide to break the news to my parents first, so we make our way to their house. I can feel my heart racing as we approach the front door. I know they'll be happy for us, but I still can't help but feel nervous.

My mom answers the door with a smile on her face. "Hi, honey! Come on in." She notices the ring on my finger and her eyes widen. "Is that...is that an engagement ring?"

I nod, smiling widely. "Adrien and I got engaged last night."

My mom gasps and pulls me into a hug. "Oh my goodness, I'm so happy for you!" She lets go and turns to Adrien. "Welcome to the family, Adrien."

My dad walks into the room and hugs us both. "Congratulations, you two. I'm so proud of you."

We spend the next hour talking about wedding plans and discussing details with my parents. They're both so excited for us and offer to help in any way they can.

After we leave my parents' house, we make our way to Adrien's parents' house. I can feel my nerves kicking in again as we approach the front door.

Adrien's mom answers the door and gasps when she sees the ring on my finger. "Oh my goodness, is that an engagement ring?"

Adrien nods, smiling. "Yes, Mom. Y/n and I got engaged last night."

Adrien's mom pulls us both into a hug. "Congratulations, you two! I'm so happy for you."

Adrien's dad walks into the room and shakes Adrien's hand. "Congratulations, son. I'm proud of you."

We spend the next hour talking about wedding plans and discussing details with Adrien's parents. They're both so excited for us and offer to help in any way they can.

As we leave Adrien's parents' house, I can't help but feel grateful for the support of our families. I know that planning a wedding at 18 may seem young to some, but I know that Adrien is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. And with the support of our families, I know that we can make this work.

I look down at my opal engagement ring, feeling the weight of the decision we made last night. I'm filled with excitement for the future and can't wait to see what it holds for Adrien and me.
