The sun shines brightly as Adrien and I walk up to Avery's house, a wave of excitement washing over us. Tasha and Tayla, my sister Avery's adorable four-year-old twins, are always buzzing with energy, and today is no exception. As soon as we step through the door, I can hear their little voices ringing out.

"Aunt Y/n! Uncle Adrien! Look what I made!" Tasha squeals, waving her crayon masterpiece in the air.

Tayla, not wanting to be left out, pulls on my jeans. "And me too! I drew a princess!"

I bend down, spreading my arms wide. "Wow! Can I see your drawings?"

They both rush over, each shoving their crayon artworks into my hands. I hold them up for inspection.

"Aunt Y/n, which one is the best?" Tayla asks, her big brown eyes sparkling with anticipation.

I put on my best exaggerated thinking face. "Hmm... I think both are the best! But Tasha, I really like the blue you used here!" I point to the colorful swirls she drew.

"Yeah! I love blue!" Tasha giggles, her curls bouncing as she jumps up and down.

Just then, I feel a tug at my leg. I look down to see Mia, my one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, her blue eyes wide with wonder. She's wearing a bright yellow dress that matches her sunny personality.

"Mama!" Mia squeals, reaching her arms up.

I scoop her into my arms, cradling her against my chest. "Hey, sweetheart! Are you having fun?"

"Sugar!" Mia cheers, pointing to the kitchen where I can see Avery preparing some snacks.

"Did Aunt Avery give you sugar already?" I ask, half-teasing and half-concerned.

She giggles, "Candy!"

I sigh dramatically. "Uh-oh, looks like someone is going to be bouncing off the walls in a few minutes!"

Avery walks into the living room just then with a tray full of colorful snacks. "Did I hear someone say candy? Come on, girls, grab some!"

The twins rush past me, and I can't help but laugh as they swarm around Avery, holding out their tiny hands for treats. "Can I have some too?" I call out, knowing full well they'll be way more excited about the candy than the fruit.

"Of course, but only if you share it with your cousin!" Avery replies, winking.

"Yay!" Tasha and Tayla scream in unison, rushing back over to us, pastries in hand.

"Mia! You want some?" Tayla asks, holding out a gummy bear like it's the greatest treasure in the world.

Mia's eyes light up. "Bear!"

I just shake my head, feigning exasperation. "Avery, I hope you're ready for a sugar rush."

Avery laughs. "What's life without a little sugar? Plus, it's not every day the cousins get together!"

With the sugar-fueled chaos slowly unfolding around us, I watch as Adrien kneels down to chat with the twins.

"What are you guys up to today?" he asks, his charming smile making them giggle.

"Playing princess!" Tasha announces, twirling in her little pink dress.

"And dragons!" Tayla adds, arms flailing as she imitates a dragon roar.

"Sounds like the most epic adventure ever! Can I be the prince?" Adrien asks in a dramatic tone, eliciting another round of giggles.

"Yesssss!" the twins chant, their little voices harmonizing perfectly.
