13 : Runaway

On the other side, madhavi took the next bus home to be with her babies. She was expecting ishaan to be indifferent and ansh in his sad mood like he always is whenever kalyan went on a mission. And her expectations are completely true, he was looking almost soul less. Especially that this was happening after a long time. He was being comforted by Ravi's wife who is a good family friend of them.

As soon as ansh sees madhavi, he runs to her.

"Mamma dekho papa firse mission pe chale gaye!" Ansh cries while hugging madhavi.

"Beta, wo ajayenge! Mujhe bola tha ki do-teen din me ajayenge!" Madhavi cooes her kid.

"Hi!" Ravi's wife Pallavi greets madhavi.

"Hi! Kese he aap!" Madhavi replies.

"Bohot badhiya! Aap fresh hoke ajayiye! I'm sure it would have been a tiring journey. Ansh beta, idhar ajao!"

"Ji thankyou!" Madhavi says and goes to freshen up. She comes back and finds ishaan studying in his room. She goes towards him and kisses his head.

"Kab aye mamma?" Ishaan says while removing his spects.

"Bas abhi..."

"Mumma wo lilliput ko sambhalo! Kitna ro raha hai! Aur uske aasoo khatam bhi nahi ho rahe!" Ishaan says irritated.

"Wo aisa hi hai beta, thoda emotional hai!"

"Thoda nahi bohottttt!! Itna drama kar raha hai shyaam se! Ye koi pehli baar thodi hai! Ajayenge na wo" Ishaan says while holding his head.

"Chalo aap padhai karo! Usko me sambhalthi hu...." Madhavi says and pecks ishaan's forehead and leaves after giving him a biggg hug. She knows that this is his defense mechanism. While ansh cries his heart out, ishaan steels it and behaves like he isn't affected by it. But deep down, he is filled with a lot of questions with will torment him till kalyan comes back. Madhavi goes back to ansh and starts consoling him. His crying subsides after 3 long hours and madhavi finally took a breathe in peace.

"Chalo ab kuch khao"

"Nahi... mujhe man nahi he..." ansh replies while sniffing

"Beta... aisa nahi bolthe.. aapko dawai bhi tho leni hai"

"Nahi lunga!" Ansh says stubbornly.

"Ansh! Aapko yaad nahi hai, apne dawai na khake behosh hogaye!! Wo do hafte pehli ki tho baat thi!" Madhavi tries to say in a stern voice but softens at the end as she doesn't want to lash out on her already crying son.

"Mujhe man nahi he mamma khane ka! Aur dawai ek baar nahi lunga tho mar nahi jaunga!" Ansh still says stubbornly testing madhavi's patience.

"Zid mat kar ansh! Ye koi baat he zid karne ki?? Aur apne papa ko promise kia thana? Ki on time loge dawai!"

"Ha kia tha! Par ab wo yaha nahi hai na!"

"Toh aap promise tod denge? Papa wapis ane ke baad kitna hurt honge?"

"Papa wapis ane ke baad hi dawai lunga! jaldi agaye tho mujhe kuch bahi hoga! Nahi tho me phirse behosh hojaunga!!" Ansh sits stubborn and now madhavi has lost her patience. Her younger son is an expert in making them lose their head. She whacks his back hard and ansh yelps in pain.

"Aree madhavi!!" Pallavi yells out and immediately shields ansh. Ravi and Pallavi follow gentle parenting and have been raising their kids in that manner. They have always found kalyan and madhavi's parenting techniques to be harsh but seeing ansh so stubborn, pallavi gets an idea about why they chose that path.
