[next morning]
Kalyan woke up at 5am as usual and went for PT. Madhavi woke up after a bit, to find the little girl sleeping next to her while tightly clutching madhavi's pallu. Madhavi gently removed the little girl's hand which made her get up from her sleep.
"Ap koun ho?" The girl asks while rubbing her eyes.
"Mai? Wooo" madhavi was unable to understand what she should answer the kid.
"Haa aap..." the girl replies in a sarcastic way.
"Meri naam madhavi hai! Aur me iss ghar me rehti hu.."
"Wo gusse wale uncle kaha hai?"
"Gusse wale? Koun? Ravi bhaiya?" Madhavi asks her not sure about who that was.
"Haa haa wo hi!"
"Wo tho base chale gaye...kal raat hi"
"Chale gaye?? Par mujhe bina bataye chale gaye...." The girl says sadly while looking down.
"Itni sad kyu hogayi ho? Gusse wale haina?"
"Wo mujpe kabhi bhi gussa nahi kiya... " the girl was referring him as angry because of his behaviour towards other soldiers. She saw him impatiently talking with them when they weren't able to find about this kid's parents.
"Unko bohot important kaam thi, nahi tho wo apko batane ke baad hi chalthe.... Phir ayenge tab puchna." Madhavi says while caressing the kid's head.
"Mujhe bola tha ki wo mujhe wo gun wali uncle ke ghar me chodenge kuch din ke liye... ab me wahi hu kya?"
"Haa shayad?" Madhavi says as she wasn't sure if it was indeed kalyan who was the "gun wale uncle".
"Chalo neeche jake nashta karte hai..... apko kya khana pasand hai?" Madhavi says to stopthe kid from asking more questions.
"Mmmmm pata nahi... kya pasand he mujhe?" The kids asks madhavi back.
"Wo mujhe kaise pata chalegi??" Madhavi laughs and replies.
"Mujhe tho sabse zyada chicken biryani pasand hai!"
"Par wo breakfast me nahi kha sakthe na... kuch aur batao me bana deti hu.."
"Kyu nahi kha sakte? Me tho khathi thi!"
"Subah subah??" Madhavi asks in shock.
"Haa matlab, meri ek bohot gandi chachi thi! Wo log jab raat me biryani khate the mujhe nahi dete!! Agar kuch bach gayi tho mujhe agla din subah dete the!" The girl replies nonchalantly.
"......" madhavi doesn't say anything as she is unable to comprehend the kid's words.
"Par ab aap waha nahi hena! Apko fresh khana milega wo bhi wahi jo ghar me sab kha rahe he!" Madhaavi composes herself and says.
"Sachi??" The kid squeals in excitement.
"Haaa bilkulll sachi!!" Madhavi says trying to match the kid's excitement.
"Apko pata hai, mujhe bhi un logo ke saath khane ka bohot man kartha tha!!" The kid says and madhavi feels sad listening to her words.
"Ab aap hamesha sab ke saath khana khayegi! Chalo neeche chalthe he! Me parantha banati hu! Parantha pasand he na?"
"Haaaaa bohot!!" The girl chirps excitedly and they go down. Madhavi starts preparing the food and the little kid is moving around her legs trying to see the process. She raises her toes as the counter was tall. Madhavi observes it, lifts the little girl up and places her on the counter. This also reminded her of younger days of ishaan and ansh when they used to keep talking to her while sitting on the counter when she was cooking.
