Jaehan's car pulled up to the grand family estate. He glanced at you, sitting nervously beside him. "Are you ready?" he asked, giving your hand a reassuring squeeze. You smiled, though your stomach was a knot of nerves. "As ready as I'll ever be." Jaehan nodded and got out of the car, opening the door for you. You both walked up the stone steps to the front door. Jaehan paused before opening it, taking a deep breath. "Just be yourself. My father will love you." The door opened to reveal the spacious foyer of the estate. The rich scent of polished wood and fresh flowers filled the air. Jungkook stood in the center of the room, his presence commanding yet warm. His eyes lit up when he saw his son and you. "Jaehan, welcome home!" Jungkook greeted, pulling his son into a tight hug. "And this must be Y/n." He turned to you, a welcoming smile on his face. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Jeon," you said, extending your hand. Jungkook shook your hand firmly but gently. "Please, call me father. We're going to be family soon, after all."
You smiled, feeling a bit more at ease. "Thank you, father. I'm honored to be here." Jaehan led you into the living room, where a cozy fire crackled in the fireplace. Jungkook followed, watching the interaction between you and his son with a fond expression. "Y/n, I've heard so much about you," Jungkook said as you all sat down. "Jaehan couldn't stop talking about how wonderful you are." You blushed slightly, glancing at Jaehan. "He's been very kind. I'm just glad to finally meet you." Jaehan chimed in, his eyes sparkling. "Dad, Y/n is amazing. She's everything I've ever wanted in a partner." Jungkook looked at his son, pride evident in his eyes. "I'm happy for you, Jaehan. It's about time you found someone who makes you happy." Jaehan grinned, taking your hand in his. "Y/n and I wanted to get your blessing before we move forward with the wedding plans." Jungkook's smile widened. "You have my blessing, of course. I'm thrilled to welcome Y/n into our family."
You felt a wave of relief and gratitude. "Thank you, father. That means a lot to me." Jungkook's gaze lingered on you for a moment, a hint of something deeper flickering in his eyes before he looked away. "Why don't we have dinner together? We can celebrate this wonderful news." The evening passed with laughter and conversation. Jungkook shared stories from Jaehan's childhood, and you found yourself laughing along, feeling a growing bond with the man who would soon be your father-in-law. After dinner, Jaehan excused himself to take a call, leaving you and Jungkook alone in the living room. The firelight cast a warm glow, making the room feel intimate and cozy. "You've made Jaehan very happy," Jungkook said, breaking the comfortable silence. "I haven't seen him this content in a long time." You smiled softly. "He's made me happy too. I'm grateful for him." Jungkook nodded, his eyes thoughtful. "You have a special way about you, Y/n. You bring light into this house."

Jungkook's gaze held yours for a moment longer before he looked away, a subtle tension in his posture. "I'm just glad you're here," he said quietly. Jaehan returned, his call finished, and the three of you continued to chat late into the night. As you said your goodbyes and prepared to leave, Jungkook pulled you into a gentle hug. "Welcome to the family, Y/n," he whispered. "Thank you, father," you replied, feeling a deep sense of belonging.
