The steady scratch of your fountain pen against paper was the only sound you cared to focus on, despite the muffled laughter echoing from the back of the room. You were seated elegantly at your desk, posture perfect, fingers delicately twirling the pen as you worked through advanced calculus equations. Behind you, your friends entertained themselves in their usual way—turning their attention toward the newest scholarship student, a boy who should've known better than to step into your world. "Tell me, do you get some kind of special badge for being a charity case?" Baek Seo Hoo mused, his playful yet mocking voice laced with amusement. He tilted his head at the boy, a smirk dancing on his lips. "Or do you just come with a discount label attached?" Jung Sera added, adjusting her glasses as she scrolled through her tablet. No doubt she had already pulled up every piece of information on the poor boy—his family's financial status, his academic records, even where he lived. "You don't belong here," Hong Min-Gi muttered coldly, his arms crossed as he leaned back against the desk. His eyes, void of any emotion, bore into the student like he was nothing more than an inconvenience.

It was all background noise to you. You had no interest in their little game—at least, not until the boy made a fatal mistake. "I might not be rich like you," he muttered under his breath, his voice shaky but defiant, "but at least I don't pretend to be something I'm not. You all act like you're better than everyone else, but you're just—" A scoff slipped from your lips before he could finish. Slowly, you placed your pen down. The soft click against the desk was deafening in the sudden silence that followed. The air grew tense as your friends immediately quieted, their attention shifting toward you. You rose from your seat, your heels clicking against the polished floor as you turned toward the boy, who stiffened under your gaze. "Say that again," you murmured, tilting your head slightly. Your tone was soft, but there was an unmistakable edge to it. The boy swallowed but stood his ground. "I said—" He never got the chance to finish. Without hesitation, you swung your fist, striking him directly in the jaw. The impact echoed through the room as he stumbled back, his eyes wide with shock and pain. A gasp left his lips as he clutched his face, shaking from both the force of the hit and the realization of his mistake.

Baek Seo Hoo let out a low whistle. "Damn. Now that was unexpected." Jung Sera smirked, pushing her glasses up the bridge of her nose. "He should've known better." Hong Min-Gi said nothing, simply observing as always. But his gaze lingered on you, unreadable yet intense. You stepped back, brushing off the nonexistent dust from your knuckles. "Know your place," you murmured, your voice laced with disdain. "This is my school. My rules. You don't get to challenge that." The boy didn't say another word. He lowered his head, his brief moment of defiance completely shattered. Satisfied, you turned on your heel, making your way back to your seat. Then, just as you picked up your pen to resume your studies— "Ugh, another fight?" Jung Sera sighed, her annoyed voice breaking the silence. She had turned to the window, her fingers tapping against the glass. Baek Seo Hoo leaned forward, glancing outside. "Who the hell is causing a scene this time?" Your curiosity piqued at their reactions. Fights weren't uncommon, but rarely did they seem this focused on one. You followed their gaze to the school field below.
