(Y/N)

Before the blade forms, I hear cries. "Go get Mary and leave." I turn to face the people. "I hope you were happy having my brother as king, that you were happy for the short time Valerie was queen, and I hope you enjoyed having me as head knight." I get on one knee and bow. I see one of my knights bow, his wife bows, too. "It's upsetting to say goodbye, specially seeing you bow. I've always told you there's no need. I'll always do what my people want, but... I know most shared an opinion, I just realized... just how much control has been given to senile men that my people have yet to speak up. I will not stand that, so I apologize to the young audience, I'll try to keep it appropriate." I take a small bow keychain hanging from a bag on my leg and shoot smalls arrows. They all go in different directions, straight into every elder's heart. I break the arrows so they all travel inside the heart in fragments, burning and slicing the tissue.

I set the sword on the parapet and sit beside it. "Now that there's no one holding you back, would you like for me to sacrifice myse-" "Sorry, your royal highness, but... why am I alive?" I turn to the only living elder. "Because you're a good person." He purses his lips. "Thank you, my prince." I shake my head. "No need. So... uh how are you guys feeling? Have you eaten?" Some say yes and some no. "Are you guys not hungry?" "Let us eat you!" I snort. "Girl, this is not a k-pop concert. Anyways... so how do we feel about a public sacrifice? I think that'd be pretty damn cool, love the drama. Maybe one day I'd get a musical made about me." They cheer before they all realize what they're doing and stop and boo. "So, is that a no?" I snap my fingers and pout. "No musical then, I guess. Alright." I chuckle. "I'll go find my husband, then. Carry on with your own lives." I bow before going back into the castle.

I sigh and walk into Valerie's room, I kneel by her bed. The smell of blood makes me nauseated. "I don't know what to do." I lay my head on her bed. "I'm so confused... I don't think I can take care of a kingdom... of Mary, of anything. I couldn't even take care of you." I wipe tears from my eyes. "I hope at least... you'll have a good life with my brother in your next life. One in which you can smile at your wedding, hug him and kiss him and dance and laugh." I hold her limp hand and smile at her. "Please part calmly, don't try to stay. I assure you I'll do everything I can to keep Mary safe.... If my word is worth anything."
