Gianna's POV:

'Bu-sy!' That's the word that perfectly describes my current situation. It's already late at night, yet here I am at school because of the pile of work that needs to be finished this month. I'm here at SSG officers office busy typing away on my laptops when I received a message that immediately caught my attention. I paused from typing and grabbed my phone to check who messaged me.

I opened my phone, and a flood of messages from Kian and Jus greeted me. But one message changed my expression instantly, it was from a special girl, none other than Ally.

I ignored the messages from Kian and first opened Ally's message.

• Chat Message

🟢 Ally:

>>Hey, are you still awake?
>>Have you made it home? You might still be in the office later.
>>You know it's not good to stay up late, especially every day.
>>Yana

A small smile crept up on my face as I read her message. Among all the people who message me, it's only her that doesn't annoy me.

Gianna:

>>Yes, I'm already home Ally, no need to worry. I'll be sleeping early tonight<< I replied.

Of course, it was all a lie. I haven't gone home yet, and I definitely won't be sleeping early because I need to finish all these tasks today. I felt guilty for lying to her, but I had already said it, so I had to stick to it.

It took her a minute to reply to my message, but I wasn't mad because I knew she had her reasons.

Ally:

>>Are you sure? You might end up staying up late again.
>>You know I do this because I don't want anything to happen to you, right?
>>It's dangerous, you might get into trouble on your way home.

Gianna:

>>I'm sure I'm safe, Ally, okay. So, don't worry.

Ally:

>>Okay, I'm just reassuring, go to sleep now, good night 😚

I couldn't help but smile seeing the emoji in her message. She's really cute when she chats, especially when using emoji.

Gianna:

>>Okay, good night, sweet dreams.

I put down my phone knowing that I had the last message between us once again. But then my phone rang again, so I had no choice but to answer the call. It was Manikiela Yazie, also known as Maya.

"Why did you call, Miss Secretary?" I asked as soon as I answered.

"Um, can I talk to you tomorrow?" Maya asked.

"Can't you just tell me over the phone? You know I'm busy, Miss Secretary, because of the upcoming events," I replied.

"No, it's not good to say it over the phone, and don't worry, Presiecakes, this isn't nonsense," Maya explained.

"Okay, let's meet in the office at exactly 6:00 am. If you're not there at the appointed time, we won't talk," I said firmly.

I heard her mutter something, which made me furrow my brow.
