Tommy's POV

After their visit to Dr. Carter, Tommy felt a little lighter. He liked Dr. Carter; she was kind and made him feel safe. Over the next few weeks, he continued to see her, and slowly, he began to open up more about his past.

John was always there, supporting him and reassuring him that he was safe. Tommy started to feel more comfortable in John's home, and the nightmares became less frequent.

One evening, as they sat on the couch watching TV, Tommy looked up at John and said, "John, do you think I could call you Dad?"

John's eyes filled with tears, and he pulled Tommy into a gentle hug. "Of course, Tommy. I'd be honored."

Tommy smiled, a sense of belonging filling his heart. For the first time in a long while, he felt like he had a family.

John's POV

Hearing Tommy call him "Dad" was a moment John would cherish forever. It was a sign that Tommy was beginning to trust him, to see him as a father figure. John was determined to live up to that trust.

He continued to support Tommy, attending therapy sessions with him and creating a loving and stable environment at home. They established routines, like reading bedtime stories together and having weekly movie nights. Slowly, Tommy began to heal.
