Tommy's POV
A few months later, John and Tommy were introduced to a little girl named Lily. She was seven years old, with curly brown hair and big green eyes. She had been through a lot, just like Tommy, and was in need of a loving home.
Tommy was nervous but excited to meet her. They went to the agency together, and Tommy felt a mix of emotions. When he saw Lily for the first time, he felt an instant connection. She was shy, like he had been, but she smiled at him, and Tommy felt a spark of hope.
John's POV
John watched as Tommy and Lily interacted. He could see the beginnings of a bond forming, and his heart was filled with hope. He talked to Lily gently, getting to know her, and he could see the same spark of resilience in her eyes that he had seen in Tommy.
After a few visits, it was clear that Lily was a perfect fit for their family. John completed the adoption process, and Lily moved in with them.
First Night
On Lily's first night at their home, John made a special dinner to welcome her. Tommy was excited to show her around the house and introduce her to all his toys. They played together, and John watched with a heart full of joy.
At bedtime, John tucked both children in, reading them a story. As he kissed them goodnight, he felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. His family was growing, and with it, his heart.
