Tommy's POV
Tommy's birthday was approaching, and John was determined to make it special. It would be Tommy's first birthday celebration in a long time, and John wanted to create happy memories for him. He asked Tommy what kind of party he would like, and Tommy, with a shy smile, said he wanted a superhero-themed party.
John went all out, decorating the house with superhero banners and balloons. He even arranged for a local party entertainer to come dressed as Tommy's favorite superhero. Tommy's friends from school were invited, and John made sure there were plenty of games and treats.
The Big Day
On the morning of his birthday, Tommy woke up to find the living room transformed. His eyes widened in delight, and he ran to John, hugging him tightly.
"Happy Birthday, Tommy!" John said, ruffling his hair. "Are you ready for your superhero party?"
Tommy nodded enthusiastically. As his friends arrived, the house filled with laughter and excitement. The kids played games, and Tommy's eyes lit up when the superhero arrived, leading them in fun activities and even putting on a small show.
When it was time for cake, John brought out a big cake decorated with superhero figures. Everyone sang "Happy Birthday," and Tommy blew out the candles, making a silent wish.
Evening
After the party, Tommy sat with John, exhausted but happy. "Thank you, Dad," he said, his eyes shining with gratitude. "This was the best birthday ever."
John hugged him tightly. "You're welcome, Tommy. You deserve it. I'm so glad you had fun."
As Tommy drifted off to sleep that night, he felt a deep sense of happiness and belonging. For the first time, he had a real birthday celebration, surrounded by friends and the love of his new family.
