I moved a hand through my mate's hair and looked at how peaceful she looked while she was sleeping. My heart grew warm and became filled with love and tenderness while I looked at her, something that I didn't have to quell now that she was mine.

My mate groaned while she woke up and opened her eyes to reveal beautiful brown eyes that held so much power in them that it took my breath away. She slowly blinked while her eyes adjusted to the light of the room, and I smiled at her while I tucked my head closer to my chest.

"Morning," I said, and she groaned in annoyance while she buried her head under the blankets. "Or well, I think that it is morning," I said and furrowed my brows, not really sure what time it was, especially since the Suns didn't seem to set last night.

"We can say that it is morning," she said and closed her eyes, biting back a small yawn. "If someone thinks differently, then they can fight us."

I snorted, growing amused with her. "I don't think that no one has to fight us for whatever reason, Sam," I said and moved a hand through her hair some more. "I think they would be as confused as we are about what is going on here."

"True," she said and sat up, looking around the room that we found ourselves in, and I sat up with her. "Do you know if anyone else is awake?" she asked and furrowed her brows, and I couldn't help but shrug because I had no idea if anyone else was awake.

"I think it might be best if we go check to see if they are or not," I replied. "I do not think that we are still able to link anyone just yet or ever again until we get out of this place with two suns."

Sam didn't respond and looked at me as if she was trying to see if I couldn't respond to her via our mate bond or mindlink.

I smiled and shook my head no. "I am not able to hear you," I said. I raised my hand when she opened her mouth, and I had a feeling that she was going to point out that I responded with what she thought I was going to say. "It was a good guess."

Sam closed her mouth before she opened it again and said, "well, I was calling you names while asking if you could hear me, so I guess you just know me too well to know that is what I was going to do."

"And what names were you calling me?" I asked and leaned toward her so that I could give her a kiss. "Were they dirty names that I need to punish you for?"

Sam smirked. "And how are you going to punish me?" she asked, not answering my question. She reached forward and placed her hand on the back of my neck, pulling my face toward her.

"I can think of one way," I said and brushed my nose against hers with the intention of kissing her on the lips and making out with her.

However, I was interrupted when there was rapid knocking on our door, and I couldn't help but groan, praying that whoever it would be would just leave already so that I could make out with my mate.

"We should go see who it is," Sam said and looked at the door with furrowed brows while she removed her hand from behind my neck and started to get out of bed. "Hopefully nothing bad happened while we were asleep."

"But a kiss," I said with a small whine in my voice while I walked after her, not knowing who was at the door and not trusting them to make sure that she stayed safe. "Or making out."

"We can do both later when we aren't somewhere else," Sam replied, "with two suns."

I groaned but didn't say a word while she opened the door to reveal Cel standing there with her fist raised as if she was about to knock on the door again. "Cel," I greeted with a small scowl on my face.

Cel grinned and lowered her fist because she didn't need to knock on the door with it being opened already. "I would apologize for being a cockblocker, but I am not sorry, so I am not going to apologize for it," she said and bowed her head in respect.

"Then why are you here?" I asked and raised an eyebrow in question. "There better be a good reason for you to be here and why you aren't sorry for blocking us from making out with each other."

"Breakfast is ready," Cel said and shrugged. "Ry cooked all of it herself. She said that she couldn't sleep when she was asked about it, so I have no idea what all she had been up to."

"Did anyone help her?" Sam asked and raised an eyebrow in question. A look flashed through her eyes, and I had a feeling that she wasn't sure if she liked the idea of Rylan doing most of the cooking for everyone.

Cel shrugged and grimaced. "She was halfway done by the time that I got down there," she said. "She cooked a lot, and I mean a lot of food."

"And no one from our side was there to watch her?" Sam asked.

"Sam," I softly scolded her, and she looked at me before she looked at Cel. "Be nice."

"Not for a while," Cel said and shook her head. "I mean, I didn't get there until she was half way done cooking whatever it was that she was cooking. Everything smells delicious though, so I don't think she did anything to poison it."

"Has anyone eaten anything from her?" Sam asked, and Cel nodded. "Who?"

"The kids are eating some of it as we speak. They placed Ry between a rock and a hard place because they started to cry about being hungry, and Ry was waiting until you two came down to feed them." An amused smile appeared on her lips. "I went ahead and saved the day because it looked like she was about to cry herself."

"And what did you do?" I asked and raised an eyebrow in question.

"I ate some of the food before I let the kids go ahead and have some of the food, and my Goddess, she is an amazing cook. Everything was just so delicious and tasted so amazing. You need to go try it for yourself."

My stomach growled at the mention of food, and I couldn't help but nod. "We'll go right now," I said. "Thank you, Cel."

"Yes, Alpha," Cel said and bowed her head before she excused herself and started to make her way to a different room to wake whoever it was in there up or to stop a couple from making out like we were about to.

"So much for making out," Sam muttered under her breath, and I couldn't help but snort. "Are you hungry?" she asked and raised an eyebrow in question.

I smiled and nodded. "Very," I said. "Come on, let's go see what she had cooked for us. I am sure that it is as tasty as Cel said it would be."

"As long as it is not poisonous, then that is all that matters to me," she said, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes and press my lips into a thin line while we started to walk to the kitchen.

"I don't think that she would poison us, Sam," I said and gave her a pointed look. "If anything, she would be poisoning her family too or herself, and I don't think she would do that, especially since she is pregnant and has a baby on the way right now as we speak..."
