| BACK IN AURADON

SUMMER was over, school was officially starting and Cassia was back in Auradon. Being gone for three months made her miss everyone around here, and she was also ready to see what the new faces would bring.

She swallowed standing in front of Auradon Prep as she watched all the new faces walking around — the VKs — this would be fun. Her hand rested on the steady suitcase that was in the dirt.

"We really came back to a completely different school, huh?" Elliot's voice rang behind Cassia, who sighed, finally seeing him after months felt like a relief.

"Hi." She brought him into a small hug. "Can you believe this!" There was a bit of excitement in her voice, but also still amazement.

"No." The son of Rapunzel shook his head in shock, still, "I mean, for many years they kept that barrier up, and now it's... gone." Elliot lowered his hand to his leg creating a sound.

"Yeah." Whispered Cassia not having anything else to say.

"I mean, my mother almost didn't let me come back." Elliot began to walk, the brunette following along behind him as she paid attention. "If it wasn't for my dad I wouldn't be here."

"My dad was the same." She agreed.

The two of them had walked into the lobby, it was filled to the brim, mixed with AKs and VKs, it felt weird but it was only a matter of time before everyone got used to it. Cassia looked around, trying to find that pirate hat that she recognized pretty well, but he wasn't around, she figured he would already be in his assigned dorm, or wandering around with Uma and Gil.

She sighed feeling some sort of relief mixed with disappointment.

"I'll see you later, I have to go put my stuff in my dorm." She looked at Elliot, who gave her a small nod in agreement.

The both of them parted ways, Elliot going the opposite direction and Cassia going to her dorm, she thought Elliot had maybe already settled himself back as he wasn't carrying anything. She walked around the crowded place, murmuring a few sorry's and excuse me's when bumping into people.

Some of the VKs gave her dirty looks, only making her even more nervous and cautious not to bump into people.

The lobby had never been that crowded, it was giving the poor girl anxiety.

Cassia kept hold of her breath, trying not to bump into anyone while she reached the staircase, finally going up to the floor where her dorm was. The halls weren't as crowded as the lobby was, making her sigh in relief, her suitcase rolled on the wooden floor while she walked toward her room.

Finally!

Cassia looked for her key inside her bag, bringing it out to unlock the door, and her hand reaching for the knob to twist it open, pushing it to reveal her room.

"Hi, Jane." Cassia greeted with a sigh as she noticed how Jane was sitting in her made bed. "How was your summer?"

The brunette knew the events that had happened, but she still wanted to ask for the before, knowing her whole summer couldn't have been bad.
