38 | THE FIRST LOOK

SHE stood in front of the mirror admiring herself. Her hands glided down the sparkling of her dress, and the blue that her eyes scanned. She was finally wearing the dress that had been sitting in her closet for months now.

Cassia's stomach was repeatedly feeling butterflies from the nerves. Any moment now Harry was going to knock on the door, and he would be seeing her.

She wore his bracelet, and she kept glimpsing at it with a small smile as she played with it. It somehow managed to ease her nerves.

The whole group would be meeting in the lobby, and they had all agreed that they were going to take a limousine to the venue. They were of course going to use Ben and Mal's limousine.

Every slight knock was getting her on edge, but when it would turn out to be Evie or Mal, her nerves would release from their knotted state and go back to normal.

It was too much excitement she had inside and nervousness. Trying to take deep breaths was becoming a small ritual within minutes, and fidgeting with the bracelet as well.

She was surprised her powers weren't constantly going off right now, but she was happy at the same time. She didn't want to ruin the night with it.

A small knock broke in her thoughts, causing her to look through the mirror and quickly grow stiff. She had to take a breath before walking over toward the door and opening it, it only revealed Elliot.

"Surprise!" The son of Rapunzel chanted. "How do I look?"

He wore his purple suit, his shirt unbuttoned and on the bridge of his nose a pair of sunglasses were resting on it. He did a small spin for the girl before she threw her head back.

"You scared me!" The boy took offense setting his hand on his chest at the words of the girl.

"Ouch." His head jerked back. "I know I'm ugly but you don't gotta rub it on my face, Cass." He walked into the room closing the door behind him.

"Dude!" She chuckled. "You know what I mean."

Cassia was thankful to see Elliot, he was somehow easing her nerves and unsteadiness. It was something the boy could easily do for her, and vice versa.

"Yeah, yeah. I swung by his room and the boy was still getting ready. You think you're nervous you should look at him." With his eyes shielded by the sunglasses, he brought his head down, raising his brows in movement.
