32 | ATTEMPT ONE 10 DAYS UNTIL HOMECOMING

HARRY'S mind was set on one goal. To ask the brunette to the Homecoming dance and maybe even on a date if everything went according to plan, and that wouldn't be hard — he hoped.

Harry had decided that after the last period of the day, he would wait outside Cassia's locker. So he could be ready and not struggle with the crowded halls. And that is exactly what he did.

The pirate's back rested on the locker next to the brunette's. Eyes shifted right to left, keeping a guard to see if she would approach the scene. Picking at his hook slightly, the sound of the bell made his head perk up. Harry straightened his posture once he spotted the well-known girl.

"Oh. Hi, Harry." Cassia greeted him with a smile as she turned to her locker. That she later opened, to place her books for the day until tomorrow.

"Hey, Cassie." For the first time, Harry didn't feel the need to give her a fine remark. "How ya doin'?" He asked instead.

"Good." A smile is sent his way from her. Something that made his heart flutter at the sight, "And you?"

Harry felt his body almost melt on the ground, "So much better right now." Came out softly from his lips.

His eyes remained on Cassia, who watched him with a smile. Indicating that she was waiting for him to continue his sentence, but Harry felt nervous. His hook messed with a loose string from his pants, the other slapping his thigh gently.

"Are yeh... going to the homecoming dance?" With his question falling in a whisper, Cassia couldn't catch it.

"I'm sorry?" She leaned closer to him.

Harry sighed in nervousness. The people in the halls were giving him a hard time with the rowdiness and loudness.

"Are yeh going to homecoming?" In repetition, he stared at the girl, waiting for her reply.

In seriousness, this was a huge clue to the girl, and she caught it. By showing a huge smile on her lips she knew what the pirate was trying to say, she just wanted him to ask her the question.

"Yeah," She replied softly, her words reaching into the pirate's ear. "I am."

Though he already knew the answer he felt the need to ask. Only to make conversation and kill the nerves.

"No date?" A chuckle is delivered by the girl in front of him at his sentence.

"No.. no date." She could feel her heart pounding. He had to be wanting to ask her. No?
