6:30 was announced with a melodic tune alerting each of the friends it was time to sneak out to the forest.

"I always wondered how you snuck out undetected all the time." Hermione's pompous voice elicited an eye roll from both Daphne and Astoria. "What does it matter to you, you filth."

The Forbidden Forest was a vast, gloomy, dark network of trees that extended far beyond the boarders of Hogwarts, it was prohibited for students to enter the forest due to the verity of magical creatures, not all kind, who found their abodes there. At the entrance of the woods is where the group gathered, quiet footsteps and hashed whistles declaring their arrival, "are we all here now?" Neville whispered as he mentally counted the others around him. "Yes, now follow me and Jake, I know of a clearing that will be perfect for this." Cassiopeia then began walking, Jake with his arm linked with her matched her pace, his other hand carrying a large woven basket with an array of flower's embroidered on it. The trek was silent, everyone cautious as to not disturb any creatures near by, soon enough Cassiopeia stopped, the others halting behind her, they were in a field now, one of flowers of all kinds, butterflies or perhaps moths fluttered around them, dancing with the fireflies that gave a mesmerising glow to the area, near the back of the field was a tree, tall and ancient, it exuded a magical presence that sent waves of calm washing over the minds of all present, it's wistaria flowers cascading to the floor. "This is beautiful Peia, how on earth did you find it?" Achlys asked brushing her hands against the flowers, the sun was low in the sky painting a soft pink that cast down onto her, tainting her image in a rosy hue. "Well Betty, I didn't, truthfully I had know idea where I was going but I could feel the magic pouring from this place, it was the perfect place for  a ritual." Cassiopeia's eyes softened as they gazed upon her friends and siblings running through the fields, "we best get started now." Jake approached Cassiopeia handing her the basket at the others gathered around to watch. First she built the base of the fire but did not light it, she placed a loaf of bread, some wheat and a glass of wine in front of the fireplace while stating what her friends assumed to be a pray, in a foreign language, after her prayer she lit the fire, tossing into it a piece of fabric that burned with a blue flame before disappearing, once Cassiopeia burned her offering the others followed suit also throwing things into the flames. Moments passed as the offerings burned before Cassiopeia knelt to the floor and began writing three runes onto the ground, one in front of the bread, one in front of the wheat and the third before the wine that she had placed earlier, with that done she muttered an enchantment which caused the runes to light up in a rich purple before fading away. "Did it work?" Pansy whispered to Eleana unsure. "Just wait one more second." She replied in the same hushed tone placing her hand on Pansy's shoulder, just as she finished speaking light emitting spheres darted from the fire before morphing to take human form, now before each of them stood one of their ancestors. "Oh Cassy, darling look at you, you've grown!" A smooth and joyous voice called out as the spirit of a woman with curly brown hair and soft brown eyes approached her, a man, with untamed black curls and a boyish smile, on her heal. "Grandma Mia, Grandpa Monty, how are you, it's so good to see you!" Cassiopeia smiled a wide genuine smile at the sight of her grandparents,

"We used to visit you?" Fleamont pushed his son back so that he had a clear view of Cassiopeia. "Every single year, some others would come too, I've met a lot of the family, including Ignotus Peverell." She smiled over at her grandfather watching worriedly as his eyes began to fill with tears. "You look so like your father, do you know that?" Fleamont wiped his eyes with a handkerchief as he stood, walked over to Cassiopeia and wrapped her into a tight hug.

"we're well child, and we know you are too now let us get down to what really matters, yes? Where are those siblings of yours, they should be here for this?" Fleamont asked as he looked around not at all surprised by the new faces. "We're here Grandpa, now let's start yes?" Jake arrived with the others and took a seat in the flowers beside Cassiopeia who subconsciously leaned onto his shoulder, still engaging in her conversation with Euphemia who smiled at the two. "Yes let's start, we know where James is."
"Seriously!"
"Where?"
"How?"
"Are you joking?"
"Calm down children, let us speak," Euphemia silenced the young kids, "he's safe so don't worry, Cassy, your mother has placed him in a magic coma within the Potter Manor only you can open it," she explained reaching out as though to hold the younger girls face in her hands, "we want you to get Sirius out of prison first ok? Then wake him, the stress of Sirius's imprisonment would be enough to make him ill. I feel guilty for asking this of you but-"
"It's fine Grammy." Eleana assured her smile never once faltering.
"Yeah, we intended to do that anyway." Alex eased as he studied his grandparents, they hadn't changed physically but every time he sees them he feels as though there is something different about them. "You should meet our friends they mean a lot to us." Kira stood first and dragged her siblings with her to talk with their friends and their ancestors. Soon the night had passed, the cloak had struck midnight and the spirits retreated back to the underworld extinguished the fire as they left, a sign for the children that it was time to head to bed.

"Why do we never learn about these rituals in school?" Mary MacDonald asked. "Because rituals give you power, when you give magic back during them magic can be replenished and grown, in turn growing your own magic." Corvus resisted recalling the hundreds of times he had read and heard about the importance of ritual and traditional magic.

Months passed by after Samhain, nothing notable happened within the school if you ignored the obnoxiously loud "whispers" of Harry, Ron and Hermione about a three headed dog, something the shooting stars made a point of doing. "I can't wait for Yule, also we need to make the ball invitations, I think we should hold it on the eve of Yule, also it should be done in Ravenclaw castle, it matched the theme of blue, white and silver best." Eleana was rambling as she sat on Kira's bed, the quintet had gathered in the Gryffindors room to help her pack for the upcoming holiday, the rest of them having already prepared. "Humm, you're right we do, we can start on those as soon as we're on the train, someone needs to go get Fluffy too, also we should write to Annabeth and Chiron about us not being back till next summer," Kira threw a shirt at Alex's face as she spoke, "and done, we can go get Fluffy now." With that the quintet left the dorm waving to any students they passed as they made their way to the third floor. "Hello darling, did you miss us?" Eleana was babbling in a baby voice as she began smothering the giant puppy in love, her siblings merely laughed at her. "Hi Fluffy, we need you to get into this briefcase ok? The inside is nice and big for you to play in so you shouldn't get bored." Alex pulled said briefcase from his pocket and placed it open in front of the Cerberus who was immediately sucked inside of it. With that done the group began leaving, Jake creating a copy of Fluffy as he left his arm finding Cassiopeia's as usual while they walked out into the snow covered grounds.
