It was a normal day in Hogwarts 1977, the great hall was packed full of students eager to fill themselves for lunch, many were discussing what lessons they had that day or who they thought would win the next quidditch match. However, none were as animated as four boys dressed in red. The marauders. These 'marauders' as they were dubbed consisted of Sirius Orion Black, James Fleamont Potter, Remus John Lupin and Peter Pettigrew.
"So, you still pining after Evens, Prongs?" Sirius jested, teasing the brunet opposite him about a crush he had bothered since second year, yet James' repones startled him. "Nah pads, I think the infatuation has worn of, it's clear she won't ever love me and honestly the rejection is starting to sting." the surprise of his friends was evident on their faces, shock painting their features.
"Well that's very mature of you prongs." Remus commented, his prior state of nonplus giving way to a sense of pride for his friends development, "Moony's right prongs that's very mature, you've really grown up over the summer." Peter agreed.
"Thanks, wormy, moony, mum and dad said the same thing. I suppose with everything going on right now I just want to be a little bit more responsible."
Just as Sirius was about to re-join the conversation a bang echoed through the hall, silencing the students. Everyone's heads snaped in the direction of the entrance to the great hall where numerous shadows appeared.
From the entrance emerged the Blacks, Potters, Weasleys, Le Stranges, Malfoys, Barty Crouch Sr, Rosiers, Amelia Bones and Madeye Moody all portraying a mix of confusion and annoyance.
"What is the meaning of this Dumbledore, we have busy lives. Explain why you have brought us here." Walburg was the first to break free from the silence gripping the hall, "I'm afraid I can offer no such explanation as I am not the one who summand you here today." Dumbledore replied a familiar glint dancing behind his spectacles as he observed his unexpected guests.
Before anyone could protest to the new information letters danced across the head table, fluttering above the teachers head, writing out a series of sentences:
We have gathered you here today to review mistakes made and yet to come. Shortly you will be joined by some hand picked guests from the future. Together you will witness the life of Cassiopeia Potter through a series of memories arranged in a film. Magic intended to inflict harm will mot work within this room from this moment onwards. Time outside this hall is frozen and will remain that way until all memories have been watched. The future is yet to be set in stone. This is your last chance.
Regards the Fates
One second. Two seconds. Chaos. Noise erupted throughout the hall confusion and fear tearing at rational minds. Admits the madness children went to greet any family that had come, taking a moment to embrace the people they hadn't seen in weeks.
"Silence! Let us all quiet down and await our guests from the future." Dumbledores voice, amplified by magic, brought an end to conversations. Moments later another bang cut through the quiet, this time accompanied by a flash of silver light.
"Get off me you fat pig!", "Oww you're on my leg", "Ugg that was my face, you arse!" and other such things brought about another end to the silence. As every bodies eyes re adjusted from the flash of light a pile of people became clear to them, besides this pile where two others staring at the group on the floor with rather unimpressed faces.
"Would you all get up, we have an audience." a gentle, almost angelic, voice stated, cutting off the arguments of those on the floor and encouraging them all to stand up.
Many turned to see who the soft voice belonged to reviling a short girl, around 5"1, with long midnight wavy hair that just kissed the middle of, where they suspected were her thighs, soft features, blue eyes and pale skin. She was dressed in an elegant pale blue floor length dress with white lace details, a sweetheart neckline and detachable puff sleeves as well as a pair of white silk gloves adorning her hands, which were gently clasped before her.
