A/n: I forgot to say that the people who traveled back in time are 18-19 years old.
Percy's grip on Cassiopeia's waist tightened slightly as he ran his thumb up and down in a soothing motion on her ribs, "are you alright, astéri? You look a little pale." He whispered into her ear, his chin placed on her shoulder, each word drenched in concern. "I'm fine, mare meum, just a little nauseous and tense is all." She whispered back turning her head to place a delicate kiss to his cheek.
The entrance to the Slytherin common rooms was an intricate green door that could only be opened with the correct password, the prefects leading them had explained this as they walked down towards the deeper parts of the castle, "the password changes each week be sure to look for it on the notice board every Monday. This week's is Verum in Morte." The male prefect stated opening the door to the common area.
The main room was huge, with deep green and silver hues exuding an air of royalty to the room, the ceiling and back wall were entirely glass allowing student to see out into the black lake that surrounded them, hanging from the ceiling was a shimmering glass chandelier bathing the area in a soft golden light, to the left of the room was a large dark oak fireplace circled by numerous soft, velvet, forest green sofas and chairs, whereas to the right there was a large notice board with various pins on it with two tall shelves on either side containing a magnitude of nick nacks, towards the glass wall was a slightly raised bare platform.
"Now before we explain more there are a few base rules for you to know, 1. All arguments within the house stay in the common area, outside of here we are united, 2. Never start fights, people already persevere us as evil, don't make it worse, 3. We are often the target of other houses, go nowhere alone always take at least two others with you, 4. Be sure to maintain good grades, if you are struggling in anything ask for help, anyone here would willing aid you, 5. Don't break the rules and if you do don't get caught. That's really it, anything else will be on the board to your right," the female prefect stated,
"as you can see there are many corridors extending from this area, they lead to many places such as our private library, kitchen, duelling ring, gym, and other rooms, I recommend memorising where each goes it will help you in the future. For now the boys dorms are up the stairs to the left, girls are on the right. There is nothing in place to stop you entering either side just be mindful of others being around.
Also to the right there is another door it leads to the heir of Slytherin's bedroom supposedly it was Salazar's when he was here, only the heir can access it and when they do it is rumoured that thrones will appear before the glass wall. Those are just rumours though, I'm only telling you this to prevent questions about it later." She finished directing the first years to their dorms.
"Wow the dorms are so stunning!" A Hufflepuff called out in awe, a wave of admiration and jealousy washing over the other houses. "You have a library in your common room?" Annabeth asked eager to hear about all the books that they had, her excitement for knowledge earning her an approving nod from her mother who was also fascinated with the information. "Yes we do, you've been there Anny." Fred reminded with a bemused smile. "Oh yeah I remember now, it was truly beautiful." Annabeth remembered with a wistful sigh. "You've been to Hogwarts?" Dumbledore questioned, his voice irritating the majority in the room, annoyance seeping into their features. "Yeah. All of us have, what's it to you, moron!" Clarisse bit, her anger stunning Dumbledore to silence.
As all the other first years migrated to their new dorms Cassiopeia and Jake stayed back waiting until the room was barren before making their way over to the door on the right. Upon closer inspection they discovered that it was a door made from yew wood, carvings depicting a snake decorated in silver where wrapped around the perimeter and a round silver handle was placed in the centre with a small needle on the top.
