TW: homophobia and slurs

"Wake up! It's Yule!" Cassiopeia and Ginny groaned as a body slammed down onto them. "Get off of us you fat arse." Cassiopeia shoved Jake's body of her and Ginny as she got out of bed, not bothering to change before heading down to the living room with Ginny. "Happy Yule! We have tea and hot chocolate, come sit so we can open presents!" Eleana dragged the two girls to their seats, it appeared that they were the last ones up. Sitting down next to her father, Cassiopeia leaded her head on his shoulder, smiling gently when he kissed her hair, Ginny on the other hand went and sat beside Annabeth, 'she is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, she has such cute poofy hair' Ginny's face flushed at her thoughts.

"Awe that's what you thought when we first met?" Annabeth teased the red head who buried her face into her hands in embarrassment. "Leave me alone." Her voice was muffled causing even more laughter to bubble from her friends. "Awww baby I thought you were cute too." Annabeth tried to make the other girl feel better but it didn't help at all. Feeling Cassiopeia tap her head Ginny looked up to see her gesturing to go sit with the other Demi god, complying Ginny stood up and stumbled over to Annabeth who pulled her down next to her placing a kiss on her head as she hid her face in the older woman's shoulder. "No daughter of mine will be one of those, those, those disgusting fagots!" Molly's shrill voice screeched out as she pointed an accusing finger at the two women. "Then I guess she's no daughter of yours!" To everyone's surprise it was Athena who spoke out, "and you would do well to not speak of MY daughter like that." She threatened glaring at the other woman.

"Who's going to start or are we doing it all at once?" Kira asked picking up her first present, she didn't get an answer before everyone began tearing into their gifts, wrapping paper flying everywhere as they pulled it off. Cassiopeia got: an enchanted necklace from Achlys which allows them to communicate, it also heat up when one of them was in danger, books on dark arts from Sirius, chocolate from Remus, a wand care set from Corvus, a stunning hand painted picture of the ocean at night from Kira, a knitted cardigan from Eleana, a sculpture of a dolphin leaping from some waves from Alex, some baked goods from Jake, a collection of Greek books on ancient hero's from Annabeth, colour changing hair accessories from the twins, a silver charm bracelet with a ruby and black diamond hanging from it from Ginny and a set of earrings and a necklace from her father. Daphne, Pansy and Astro had sent her some dresses and shoes as they were spending Yule together at the Parkinson manor and Neville had sent some rare plant seeds for her to grow. They all thanked each other and compared gifts before heading to the family dining area for breakfast. "This has to be the best Yule ever, thank you again for all of the gifts." Ginny said bouncing in her seat as she ate her pancakes. "You're very welcome Ruby, I'm glad you're enjoying it." Cassiopeia poured herself another cup of tea as she spoke, looking up at the younger girl opposite her. 'She's so cute, like a puppy.' Annabeth thought looking over to the red haired girl.

Ginny flushed again upon hearing Annabeth's thoughts causing said girl to laugh as she cradled the younger girl's head.

After breakfast they went their separate ways deciding to come together later for lunch, looking out the window Cassiopeia gazed at the snowy grounds of the Ravenclaw castle, pondering for a moment on what to do with her time, Cassiopeia changed into a warm dress, cloak and boots before heading to the exit of the building, "are you going out for a walk?" Achlys' voice drew her attention. "Yes I am, do you want to join me?"
"Please, if you wouldn't mind." Achlys beamed pulling in her own cloak and boots. Wondering out into the grounds Cassiopeia reached out her gloved hand to catch the falling flakes of ice, the snow under their feet crunching slightly with each step she and Achlys took, as they walked through the rose garden they found them coated in a think layer of snow giving them an enchanting beauty, "could you tell me more about my father?" Achlys asked looking over to the dark haired girl hopefully. "Of course I can." And with that Cassiopeia began reciting stories of Barty Crouch she had read in Regulus' diary. The fountains they passed were motionless, their crystal water stopped in time by the grips of winter, the sight was truly mesmerising. Hours passed as they strolled through the gardens, the biting cold tainting their nose and cheeks a glowing pink and causing their fingers to begin going numb, a call from the back door drew their attention, "come inside, before you both catch a chill. We're having lunch now!" It was Alex yelling for them to return to the house. Trudging back up the steps to the door Cassiopeia removed her boots slipping her feet into a pair of fluffy slippers before pulling her clock of and hanging it by the door leaving her gloves beside it Achlys doing the same, "come on then let's eat." Cassiopeia, Achlys and Alex entered the dining room, a feast spread out on the table, beef, vegetables, gravy, stuffing and more filling the space on the wooden surface. Filling their plates and saying a prayer they dug into the food, conversations bouncing around as they ate, laughter, champagne and wine pouring as the meal went on, by the time they finished eating the sun was setting casting an orange and pink filter over the snow painted lands.
