"Now Harry, legitimate or not, you carry the Potter name, what you did was a disgrace to our family reputation, and don't think about blaming it on your upbringing, as unfortunate as it was, you should know better than to act the way they did." Euphemia lectured with a disappointed expression. Despite everything Harry couldn't help but feel hurt by the woman's words, 'that bitch and her so called siblings should be the ones being lectured not me.'
"And Cass, can I call you that?" Euphemia started again continuing upon receiving a nod from the girl in question, "I'm proud of you it for doing the right thing but please try stay out of trouble, that goes for the rest of you too. Oh and congratulations Achlys on making the team, well done!" She complemented sending a heartfelt smile to each of the children.
"Thank you Lady Potter, please call me Betty, everyone else does." Achlys smiled as she spoke. "Thank you darling, call me Euphemia or Mia."
"Your common room is so nice, very luxurious, also you get thrones how lucky." Eleana practically had stars in her eyes as they all collapsed onto Jake's bed.
"Do you think we should invite Corvy, Roro, Pansy, Daphne, Achlys and Neville to celebrate Samhain tomorrow?" Kira was lying on top of Eleana and Alex, her head and torso across Eleana's body with her legs thrown over Alex.
"Yeah, we can ask the more the merrier right, I'm sure they must have some ancestors who want to talk with them." Eleana beamed playing with some of Kira's braids. "Yeah I agree, but there was something I wanted to talk to you guys about," Cassiopeia's serious tone silenced the others drawing their attention to her, "remember when we got our inheritance tests, well something on mine has been playing on my mind, my dads, it said that Pads was wrongfully imprisoned and that dad was missing in a coma somewhere, how could no one notice this?"
"Right I've been thinking about it too, if we write to Amelia Bones I'm sure she'll handle Padfoot's case, as for our soul dad, we need another visit to Gringotts." Jake replied fiddling with Cassiopeia's hands.
Alex released a sigh, "so we're not going back to camp this Yule, shame, but if we're here it's the perfect chance to host a Yule ball, officially enter society as both Lady to all your houses and as princess." He was right this was the perfect opportunity for them but Cassiopeia hesitated. "I really don't want my face out there more than it already is, I get enough attention as just heiress Potter."
Many of the pure bloods watched curiously at what they were planning, "Lord Cruz is correct, it would be best to enter society early." Druella spoke looking over the children with a scrutinising gaze.
"We could do a masquerade," Eleana suggested, "we can use magic to prevent people from entering without a mask, once they're inside they can take it off if they wish to." Truthfully she already had the whole thing planned out, which home they would host it in, the theme, their outfits, everything. "It could work." Kira agreed. A smile pulled at Cassiopeia's face as she watched her siblings discuss the ball. "Perhaps we should all go to bed now." With that they each bid good night.
Samhain morning was announced with distorted rays of light from the black lake painting the floor of Jake's room. Cassiopeia's brow furrowed as she began to stir, her eyes fluttering open, she took a moment to sit and admire the peaceful silence that embraced the room, her siblings still sound asleep and piled on top of each other.
Taking her time she dragged herself from the comfort of Jake's bed to dash as quietly as she could to her room to get ready for the day. Casting a tempus, Cassiopeia checked to see how long she had to get ready, "5:30, I have plenty of time to shower first." She muttered to herself as she entered her bathroom, dropping her clothes to the floor as she made her way to the shower.
