"So the rest of the year was pretty calm right, no way it got worse than that." James looked over to his children for reassurance. "Well..." Jake started, "the rest of Hogwarts was ok." He smiled reassuringly. "What's that supposed to mean?" Fleamont stared at his grandchildren sceptically, he had a bad feeling about something and he couldn't decipher what.
"Cassiopeia!" An airy voice called out in joy as they approached the blue eyed girl. "Luna! How are you?" Cassiopeia hugged the short blonde tightly. "I'm good, trying to keep the knargles away." She answered dreamily, looking over the girl Cassiopeia's eyebrows furrowed.
"Where are your shoes?" She asked noticing that the younger girl was barefoot. "Oh I'm not sure maybe the knargles took them, I'm sure they'll show up eventually." She answered looking up to the ceiling. "Here take mine." Cassiopeia slipped off her own green Mary Jane's and gave them to Luna, "I'll see you later ok?" She ruffled the girls hair before walking away.
As soon as Luna could no longer see her, her face dropped, an enraged expression marring her features as she glared at a group of three all to familiar students who she saw laughing at Luna, her shoes in their hands. "What do we have here?" Her voice startled the trio causing Ron to drop the trainers he was holding. "Oh what, you've come to play hero?" Harry mocked.
"Ohhh no, I've come because you were being mean to someone I care about very much." A sadistic smile seeping onto her face. "What Looney Love-" Hermione cut herself off with a scream as Cassiopeia sent a stinging curse at her before sending a barrage of curses and jinxes at the trio. "Be glad I have things to do."
Cassiopeia announced before turning and leaving the three 12 year olds lying panting and wincing on the floor.
"Thank you, for looking after my daughter for me." Pandora smiled over at Cassiopeia who grinned back. "Of course." She replied. "Glad to see the Black madness didn't skip you, you remind me of Bella when she was young." Andromeda commented remembering when Bellatrix did the same thing to a group of students when they were in school for bullying Narcissa.
"Hey Cassy, we have a quidditch match this Saturday, you coming?" Achlys asked, throwing her arm around the shorter girls shoulder. "Wouldn't miss it for the world Betty." Cassiopeia assured as they walked up to the astronomy tower. "Hey guys!" They greeted all of their other friends already dotted around the tower. "Hey, you excited for your game this weekend?" Kira asked leaning back on her hands, her head tipped upside down to look at Achlys.
"Yep, but you know what I'm not excited for? Lockhart's lesson first period tomorrow." She groaned leaning against the railing at the edge of the tower, everyone else groaning in annoyance too at the thought of the pompous professor.
"He is so incompetent, it's not even funny." Jake said leaning his head on Alex's shoulder. Everyone turned when they heard footsteps coming up the stairs, "hey" "you guys" Fred and George appeared from the stairwell.
"Hi." They all replied watching as the twins walked over to the edge and pulled out two cigarettes and a lighter. Taking a puff of smoke, the twins turned to look at the group, "so what are you all doing up here?" Fred asked. "Well Chaos, we're just trying to avoid a certain flamboyant blonde professor." Cassiopeia said giggling when she saw the look of disgust on their faces at the mention of Lockhart.
"Fair." George agreed taking another drag, "if you were older I would offer you one but you know you're only, what, 12?" He confessed looking over the group.
"You guys are a terrible influence!" James yelled, turning to look at the twins. "Please, like you didn't use to smoke too. You told us all about it so don't try denying it." Fred argued watching amused as Euphemia began lecturing James on the dangers of smoking and threatening to take his broom if he did it again.
