After Thalia's suggestion many people left the hall to go and relax or talk with friends, Percy, Cassiopeia, James, Nyx and Poseidon all leaving together as they exited the hall, deciding to go to the black lake to talk. Percy sat down leaning his back on a tree before pulling Cassiopeia to sit down between his legs, her back against his chest as kissed the crown of her head before dropping his head to her shoulder.
James, Poseidon and Nyx watched the pair with loving eyes, "so how long has this been a thing?" James questioned gesturing to the duo. Cassiopeia chuckled lightly, "for a while truly, we got married when we were young." She smiled softly up at her parents and father in law.
"When you were young? Daughter you are young." James exclaimed as he stared at his only daughter with a perplexed expression. "Younger." Percy corrected.
"And you, if you hurt my daughter it won't matter who your parent is, I'll rip you limb from limb." James pointed at the blonde boy with a dangerous glint in his eye, "don't worry I'll help you, no son of mine will be disrespectful to women." Poseidon agreed crossing his arms over his chest.
"Hypocrite." Percy coughed into Cassiopeia's ear making her laugh and slap his arm to silence him. "Why don't we all sit down and get to know each other more, after all we are family?" Nyx suggested taking a seat opposite her daughter and son in law with a small smile which grew when both of the men complied.
Cassiopeia payed no mind to the conversation soaking in the fresh air and warmth of her husband as her mind was lulled to sleep by the steady thrum of her lover's heart.
Feeling Cassiopeia go limp against his body, Percy looked down to find her fast asleep, her face relaxed and tranquil as she slept, a smile washing over his features as he gazed lovingly at his wife, his hands resting on her stomach as he hugged her waist while continuing the conversation with the three adults who watched the pair lovingly, feeling their hearts swell at the interaction between the couple.
Back in the great hall Nico leaned on Will's side, placing a soft kiss on his cheek, "do you think they're ok? Cassiopeia can get so overwhelmed by things like this, especially having all her life and secrets on display for others, strangers no less to watch." He looked up at the blonde before looking over to Clarisse, Thalia, and their other friends. "I know what you mean, I feel like all this is a nightmare for her." Grover said nervously, his eyes flickering around the hall.
"Mmm you're right, I wish this wasn't necessary all these bloody morons gawking at her like she's some spectacle." Clarisse argued, glaring at any of the remaining students who looked their way. "I know what you mean, it doesn't help that all our parents are here watching us." Travis said sending a glance over to the thrones in the corner double taking when he saw two more of the thrones empty.
"Well boys, tell me how do you feel about all this." Hermes suddenly appeared behind Fred and George throwing an arm over each of them while Apollo leaned his arm on Will's head. "Father-" Fred started, "we think that this is a-" George continued "total shit show." They finished together. Hermes released a humm at the statement, looking over to the other gods then Dumbledore, truthfully he was rather fond of the young dark haired woman and knowing how the old fool treated her had pissed him off.
Apollo sighed as he looked around, noticing the glare Hermes was sending someone he followed his line of sight to the flamboyantly dressed old coot.
Understanding why he was glaring in an instant, it was no secret that the gods played favourites and that for many of them Cassiopeia was that favourite. Sure being the favourite of a god probably wasn't going to make her life easier in the godly world but it did mean that they became fiercely protective of her from the 'outside' world, or rather anything that wasn't a monster or other god. Dumbledore was truly an oblivious fool as to just who he had pissed off and that would come to bite him.
