Another request from @Youravragebookworm so thank you for more ideas! Please note, I know next to nothing about archery. You'll see why.

TW: Swearing

Third person POV:

"Hey, Willlllllll," Y/n called out to her boyfriend. The blond boy turned his head to face the e/c eyed girl, a smile adorning his freckled face.

"Yes?" He asked.

"I wanna do something," Y/n groaned, spinning around in his chair. It was understandable, as Will was cooped up in the infirmary taking inventory, while Y/n (being a child of g/p) didn't understand the first thing about medical work, except basic first aid (AKA, applying a band-aid).

"We are doing something. I'm counting how much nectar and ambrosia we have, and you're spinning around in my chair trying to see how long you can go without getting dizzy," he replied simply, with a sly grin.

"I mean something fun," she grumbled, facing Will. "Like go to the lake or you try to teach me archery!"

"I do need to practise more archery..." Will considered Y/n's offer, weighing the pros and cons. "Yeah sure, let's do it!" Will set down the ambrosia he was holding, added in the final numbers for his chart, and grabbed his girlfriend's hand. She squealed in excitement and kissed his tanned skin on the cheek. Will smirked, and led Y/n out into the sunshine.

"Man, it's warm today," Y/n sighed.

"Perfect day for archery, then! Dad's blessing us," Will smiled as Y/n's eyes lit up. She turned her face towards the sky, squinting and covering her eyes from the sun before shouting,

"THANKS APOLLO!" She gave the sun god a thumbs up as well. The sun seemed to shine brighter when she did that, as if Apollo was replying, "You're welcome."

"C'mon then, sunny boy!" Y/n grinned, before running down to the archery range. Will followed behind, unable to run in thongs (or flip flops. I'm Australian, he's not wearing a thong. That's just... no).

"Wait up, slow down!" He called to the h/c haired girl.

"NEVER!" She screeched behind her. Will rolled his eyes, settling in a jog.

When he finally arrived at the range, Y/n was already there with a bow and arrow notched.

"Slowpoke," she joked, poking his chest.

"Hey, I can't run in these shoes!" Will tried to defend his actions.

"Why did you wear them then?" She challenged.

"They're comfy," he answered. Y/n nodded, agreeing with his statement. "Anyway, ready?"

Y/n nodded again, and Will helped her position herself right. His arms wrapped around her torso, gently moving her fingers as he adjusted her hand position.

"Ready?" Will asked. Without answering, Y/n fired the arrow. It landed just outside the bullseye. "Hey, good job!"

Y/n smiled, and high-fived Will. "Woo! Apollo really was blessing me today."

Will chuckled. "Let me grab a bow and I'll join you." He set off towards the weapons shed, grabbing a celestial bronze longbow, forged by the children of Hephaestus. As he walked back to the arena, he watched Y/n fire another arrow. This time it was a bit further from the bullseye, but still on the board. He heard a whoosh as another arrow was fired, this time not from Y/n.

"... Hey Will!?" Y/n called, her back to the Apollo child.

"Yeah?" He called back, jogging towards his girlfriend.

"I don't think that's meant to be there..." she turned to face him; an arrow imbedded in her stomach.

Will's POV:

My heart stopped beating for a moment. The arrow protruding from Y/n's stomach was just a normal one, thank gods, but an arrow, nonetheless. I dropped my bow, breaking into a sprint, even ditching my thongs.

"SHIT!" I yelled, running to catch Y/n before she hit the ground. Red blood blossomed through her Camp Half-Blood tee, staining the orange fabric. The colour drained from the girl's face, exiting her body. "No, no no no no," I mumbled.

"Will what the fuck happened!?" Kayla Knowles yelled at me, abandoning her station at the range.

"I don't know! I was grabbing a bow and came back to this!" I cried. "Please stay with me, Y/n!" I picked her up bridal style, running towards the infirmary, ignoring the rocks jabbing into my bare feet. The injured girl smiled woozily up at me.

"I guess Apollo didn't bless us after all," she mumbled, closing her eyes once more.

"No! Y/n, open your eyes!" I sobbed as I arrived at the infirmary. I set her down on the closest bed, ripping off her shirt to see the injury. The arrowhead hadn't fully entered her body, thank the gods, but it was a messy wound, jagged around the edges. Before ripping out the arrow though, I calmed down and made sure I had the right materials to treat her (ambrosia, nectar, bandages and painkillers). That's just common knowledge in the medical world. The spear, arrow, or whatever the weapon may be, creates a sort of plug to help stop the bleeding.

"Kayla, you pull the arrow out, I'll wrap her," I instructed my half-sister. She nodded, and did as I asked, ripping the arrowhead out of Y/n's stomach. I quickly wrapped a bandage around the g/p girl's torso, effectively stopping the bleeding. Kayla set up a straw to supply nectar to Y/n, while I worked my magic (literally). I placed both my hands over the wound, while I used my gifts of Apollo to speed up the healing process. I also hummed one of Apollo's hymns, making the magic more powerful.

"Please, please work," I muttered, watching Y/n's face for any development. Thank gods, her eyes started to flutter open. She looked around, disoriented.

"WhereamI?" She muttered, blinking rapidly. I breathed a huge sigh of relief.

"The infirmary. You were shot," I said softly. "Down at the archery range. I went to get a bow, and someone shot you while I was gone. Accidentally or on purpose, I don't know."

Y/n's mouth formed an 'o' shape, processing what had happened over the past 20 minutes or so. "So, I should be dead right now?"

I nodded. "But, I got you here quick enough for you to be treated."

Y/n smiled gratefully. "I am SO lucky to have you as a boyfriend."

There ya go, @Youravragebookworm! Hope you enjoyed <3
