Jia was diligently taking notes during the teacher's lesson, but she couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched. Despite sensing multiple gazes on her back and sides, every time she turned around, there was no one there. This unsettling sensation had been persisting for the past week, leaving her feeling uneasy and unsure of what was causing it
Jia's face flushed a deep red as she struggled to focus on her work, feeling overwhelmed by the weight of multiple gazes upon her. The sensation of being under scrutiny made her tiny frame feel even smaller, as if someone was piercing through her very soul with their intense stare. She couldn't shake off the feeling of being utterly exposed and vulnerable.
As the bell rang out, signaling the end of the class, Jia hastily gathered her notes, clutching her notebook tightly to her chest. She waited for the teacher to pack up and exit the room before making a quick escape, eager to leave the uncomfortable feeling of being watched behind. Reaching the corridor, she swiftly retrieved her backpack from her locker, the sound of the combination lock clicking open a welcome distraction from her uneasy thoughts. With her bag slung over her shoulder, she felt a sense of relief wash over her as she headed towards the exit, eager to head home now that the final class had concluded and she could finally shed the feeling of being under scrutiny
As she trudged out of the school building, Jia couldn't help but feel exhausted from the day's marathon of lectures. The weight of three new assignments looming over her only added to her fatigue. With a sigh, she pulled out her phone from her pocket and dialed her boyfriend's number, craving the comfort of his voice and the distraction from her stressful day
'Hi,' Jia said in her soft, baby-like tone, her voice laced with exhaustion. 'Hmm, my love,' her boyfriend, Jungkook, replied, his deep voice soothing her frazzled nerves. 'Jungkook-ssi, I'm free now,' she said, her words barely above a whisper. 'Can you pick me up?' she added, feeling like she was running on empty. 'Yes, of course, love,' he responded immediately. 'I'm on my way, my little baby doll.' His endearing words coaxed a weak smile from her, and she let out a tiny hum of agreement, feeling a wave of relief wash over her
As Jia stood outside the university, awaiting Jungkook's arrival, she absently swayed her free hand while clutching her bag tightly with the other. Her gaze drifted over the passing crowd, taking in the familiar sights and sounds of the bustling campus. But as she lowered her eyes, fatigue washed over her once more, her eyelids growing heavy as she struggled to stay awake. The gentle swaying of her hand slowed, and she became still, her focus solely on the sound of her own breathing as she waited for the comforting presence of her boyfriend to revive her
Just as Jia was starting to doze off, a voice broke the monotony. 'Yo, Gurl,' someone said, but as she turned to look, she realized it wasn't Jungkook's voice as she had hoped. Instead, a familiar figure emerged from the crowd. 'Too late, isn't it?' he said with a smirk, shoving his hands into his pockets as he stood beside her. Jia's eyes narrowed, trying to place him. There was something familiar about his features, and she wondered if they shared a class together. She studied his face, trying to recall his name.
