Chapter 41

"Are you just gonna stare at me?" Jiyong asked, looking at how puzzled Dara looked.

"What's that for?" She asked back, still shocked about what just happened.

Jiyong smiled sweetly.

"You're scaring me Jiyong." She said.

Jiyong hugged her again and kissed her hair. "I now realized it Dara. Everything dawned into me."

"What did you realize?" Dara, confused of what Jiyong's saying.

"It's you Dara... It's not Tiffany who changed me but YOU. It's never just fondness but it's more than that... I like you Dara... No... I love you." He said.

Dara slowly pushed him away. "Stop kidding Jiyong... It's not funny." She said, tears started to well on her eyes.

"I'm not playing around Dara... I'm being honest. I love you... sooo much that I'm willing to go back to my old image, hurt anyone who insults you. It's you I love... I've been blinded for too long but I realized that now."

"Jiyong..." tears rolled down from her eyes.

Rain started falling but they were unaffected by it.

"For so long, I hoped it was me and not her... I hoped for something I thought would never come true... I told myself your happiness is more important than anything else about me." She sobbed. "You can't imagine how much happiness filled my heart when you said those three words... Those words I longed to hear from you, Jiyongie." She covered her face with her hands and squatted, sobbing continuously like a child.

Jiyong squatted in front of her and started tucking the wet strands of hair behind her ears.

"All these you're saying, Dara... Would these words mean that..." He stopped mid-sentence.

Dara removed her hands for her to look at Jiyong. Tears and rain water combined on her cheeks. She nodded. "I love you... and it pained me seeing you with Tiffany. But at the same time, it made me feel contented seeing you with that big change... I told myself I will make you happy even though it entails pain, coz I know, soon, you'll be complete again."

Jiyong helped her stand up and held her in his arms. With cracked voice, he said, "I'm sorry... sorry for being stupid... for not realizing my true feelings earlier."

Dara shook her head and laid it on his chest. "Nothing's too late Jiyongie... Thank you for loving me back... Let's make sure to spend the remaining weeks together happily."

He kissed her forehead before speaking. "I don't want you to leave, Dara. Stay with me... FOREVER." He was crying.

Dara hugged him tighter and pressed her cheek on his chest."I wish I can do that Jiyong... but there are things that we can't stop from happening. What's important now is that we're here together, right?"

"I wish I could have the power to stop time... or turn it backwards. That way, I can teach myself not to be STUPID."

Dara chuckled. Tears still running down her cheeks. She held Jiyong's chest and gently pushed him away. "I love you." She said.

"I love you, too... so much." Jiyong replied, his eyes blinded with tears.

"You're crying, too." She noticed.

"Because of too much happiness."

She smiled the sweetest smile.

"I love you, Dara." He said before pressing his lips to hers.

It started with a light touch on her lips then it became deeper, until both of them separated while catching for air.

Their lips were just few centimeters away when Dara spoke. "Jiyongie..."
