>>>>At school<<<<
After a typical night of fighting for our lives in a hellish alternate reality, you and your friends completely forgot about the homework that was due today. Well, all except for Aiden, it seems. He was the last person you thought would do the homework... Looks like we all thought wrong.
I dragged myself onto the bus sluggishly, barely managing to make it to my seat before collapsing into it. Aiden, who was sitting behind me, leaned his head over the seat, smiling as always. He reached into his backpack and pulled out something that made my stomach drop—homework. He dangled it in front of my face, speaking casually.
"Hey, Ash, I did the homework. Ya wanna copy?" he asked, grinning. His energy never ceases, does it...?
"Thanks..." I muttered, grabbing the paper and starting to copy it quickly before we had to get off the bus.
As I started to copy, Aiden leaned down even closer, practically invading my personal space. I could feel his breath on the back of my neck. Yep... he really doesn't respect personal space.
He watched me for a few more seconds before speaking again, this time with his mouth almost against my ear.
The bus screeched to a halt. We had made it to school, I used this as an opportunity to get up from my seat. "Look at that, we're at school," I said quickly, excusing myself as I mingled with the crowded line of other students getting up. Man, that line was musty.
Aiden chuckled at my reaction, clearly amused by how much he'd startled me. The only reason he had leaned in so close was to get this kind of reaction. He got up as well, following me through the line of students, still behind me. He just quietly followed for a moment before gently tapping me on the back, probably as a warning that he was going to spook me.
A shiver ran up my spine. I didn't turn around, just kept walking, trying to get to class.

I groaned, the lack of sleep making me even more irritable. Ben seemed just as exhausted.
Aiden chuckled as he noticed. Glancing at Ben, he teased, "Damn, you both look wiped out. Did you spend the night fighting a monster or something?" He raised an eyebrow, clearly aiming for a reaction. But, I was too tired to even give him a look.
We all made it to class, but just as the teacher was about to say, "Good morning." he hesitated. Who could blame him? We looked half-dead.
"Alright, everyone, please take out your homework," he finally said.
Honestly, I stopped paying attention after that. My attention span when I'm tired might as well be the death of me one day.
Somewhere near the middle of the class, I dozed off.
I jolted awake to the sound of the bell, noticing that many others had too. Aiden was sitting there, absorbed in his puzzle cube. Tyler and Taylor seemed to be in a daze, and Logan looked like he'd had about ten minutes of sleep. At this rate, we're bound to fail. But, well, there's not much we can do about it now. The group headed to lunch, where we'd discuss the "stuff," as Aiden refers to the phantoms.
This should be interesting...

A/N: Wow.. two post in one day? I'm impressed with my short attention span that takes over so randomly.
