The next morning, me, Ben, Taylor, and Logan all planned to get the keys today. We got in the jeep with my dad and unignorable silence filled the air.
"...You kids doing okay?"
"No." We all (Except Ben) responded flatly
"Can't blame you," he paused, "once you kids are done, let's go pick up some breakfast, anything you want, okay?"
Breakfast doesn't sound half bad right now, even with all this.... stuff going on.
"...French toast, maybe?"
"A sausage biscuit sounds good..."
"Okay, french toast and a sausage biscuit. Ben, Ash, what about you?" We all started talking about possible breakfast ideas, the mood lifting a little as we each gave our input. It stayed like that until we pulled up to the school, the entire group suddenly getting serious. As we entered, Taylor started ranting out our plan.
"Remember, Tyler left his bag in the gym room, okay? Coach will either give me the keys to unlock the door or he'll grab the keys and walk with us. Either way, we need to pay attention to where he gets the keys from." We were interrupted by a soda can hitting Logan directly in the side of the head, and I was the first to turn around, making eye contact with the scum bold enough to come at us again.
"Looks like the group is short a few losers. Maybe we can keep you company. I still have to pay you guys back for the arcade."
I was silently preparing to knock some sense into this guy. I was not at all in the mood for him and his bullshit. With everything going on, he was the least of our problems. I wanted to punch that obnoxious smirk into his dumb face.
My mind raced as I weighed the potential fallout of acknowledging his presence. Yet, in this moment, my friends looked to me for support.With all the pressure we were under—preparing for the night, the stuff happening with Tyler and Aiden—shifting focus to him felt like a colossal waste of time.
"What a coward, waiting 'till Tyler was gone." Taylor muttered under her breath
"We don't have time to entertain you. Buzz off."
"There's 20 more minutes before class." He grinned. "I think that's plenty of time for some fun."
I clench my fist. This dude really didn't know when to back off, does he?
"Y'all go..." Logan spoke up "I'll stay here and-"
"No!" I grab his wrist with pleading eyes "We need to stick together. Please.."
I don't know what.. but something came over me. I didn't want us to slowly break apart when anything could happen. I didn't want Logan to lose control again.
I didn't want to be alone.
Logan luckily agreed and held my hand, "Okay. No need to waste our time on a child's temper tantrum"
"You-!"
Suddenly everybody froze when we heard Mr. Thomas walked through the door "Ah, yes, I was hoping to run into you kids. Mind if we talk about something important before class?"
Barron stuck two of his fingers at us and back at him. I guess that was his way of saying 'look out, it's on sight next time'. Taylor did it right back at him
"Oh uh- Actually we need to talk to coach Wilson so..."
"Wait-!" Everyone stops dead in there tracks "I-it's about Savannah.." He looked worried, which made the situation even worse
"....Savannah?"
The hellhole that started this whole thing? That house that seemed 'oh so innocent' on that field trip? The reason why we fight for our lives every night.

A/N: Hey, it's me again- I might like start posting one or two episode every day or at least most days. Cause I'm trying to catch up with the webcomic since now There wont be any new episodes until Season 3.
But yeah- js wanted to let y'all know so expect at least one new chapter everyday or so
!ALSO!- If y'all have any request or ideas feel free to send them- I'm trying to go ahead and prepare cause we're almost at 5k reads(THANK YALL SOO MUCHH!!!<3)
and I want to do like a halfway special since I haven't done any for a good while and I have some ideas that I could do but I'm very much indecisive so Ima need y'all help
